The girls have a lot of packages, but some of them are small things (like fluffy socks, all of the annoying orange characters, etc.)  I wrap everything, even the stockings-I guess because my parents always did.

A couple of the gifts will be labeled from Santa, the rest will be from us and my grandma (she gave us money to get them some gifts from her.)

I'm wondering why people don't wrap?  I love watching the UNwrapping on Christmas morning....

most of the stuff i leave unwrapped is stuff that we have to put together. ie. dollhouse, table and chairs, stuffed animals, etc.  i usually try to wrap everything else (oh except stocking stuff)

There are a few things I don't wrap too, the big stuff like you mentioned.  Katie is getting the Dora Kitchen, MB a toy vanity, Bea a walker thingy - those won't be wrapped.

We wrap gifts that are from us. There are plenty of those to unwrap.

Santa just pulls toys out of his pack, unwrapped.

p.s. I detest wrapping presents. They look like a 2-year-old wrapped them. I used to say that my kids wrapped them all but now they're old enough to deny. Plus they are better at it than I am.

Kyle and I differed about whether or not to wrap Santa presents and also whether Santa brings the main gift or many small gifts. I guess my tradition won because I do the shopping and most wrapping. We do not wrap so that we don't have to worry about "Santa" paper. Also kids are allowed to go downstairs and see what Santa brought before we wake up. Not as big a deal now but when they get older we hope it will buy is a bit extra time to sleep and let the kids getting up together.

I don't even know. We (read I since I do the shopping) went way overboard. I think 3-4 things each from Santa plus all the stocking stuffers and stuff I set out around the living room and to give a guess on gifts from us maybe 10-15 each? We did buy them a dual dvd player for my car as a together gift, I don't really count that because it's something we really needed, Kent made me wrap it up lol. Kent's parents also come over and I know they have probably more then 5 presents for each of them one of them being a big gift, a 3DS for Hannah and a fisher price bike thing that hooks to the tv for Bryson? I don't even know what it is. I have got to be better next year. All year, it's one of my resolutions, i'm curious to see the changes I can make and what it will mean for us, we way overspend.

Oh and we don't wrap Santa gifts. Their bigger Santa gifts this year are scooters.

I think we actually did pretty good this year as far as from Doug and I. The boys always get way too much at Christmas time though but it's so fun to watch them open and we were really thoughtful about what we got them. From Santa I did 3 gifts each. Total for all 3 was about $50 for each of them. Then I did a gift from just me, and Doug did the same. Then they have their stocking which actually does have a couple of real toys in them but I'm so happy because I didn't buy any of the junky stuff just to fill it up. :)

My mom and sister always buy a lot for them too so they will end up with quite a bit of stuff. :) I LOVE watching them open gifts.

Well, the only thing that we would miss (which we havent yet because they still come get us) is seeing the one santa gift. Every thing else is wrapped. As a kid, my brother and I would spend the night in the same room -with one of us sleeping on the floor of the other's room - and I remember waking up while it was still dark, sneaking to the tree with my brother to see what santa brought. oohing and ahhing over it and then getting back in bed so my parents didnt know we had been up uber early.  I am hoping they do that together someday. lol.

we're doing 5 things for each smaller kid. jake is only getting one thing because his cost more than the other kids' stuff.

the little ones are getting a leappad (each!?!) from santa and they are getting 2 or 3 games to share.

the couple of other things will be from us.

I forgot that the boys also got one gift for each other. They used their allowance and we went to Build a Bear and they did a BAB for their brother. Neither of them know that they both did BAB but they will be SO excited. :D

I finished up my wrapping last night.

They are each getting 1 gift from Santa, the "big" ones that they want the most and have asked Santa (at the mall) for. I wrap Santa's gifts.

Then the boys will each have 5 wrapped gifts to open from us:
Kyle - 2 DS games, a DVD, TAG map, and books
Kevin - 2 Wii games, a DVD, razor scooter, and books

They also have 2 shared gifts to open (Legos and Battleship)

Katelyn will have 4 wrapped gifts to open from us (Elmo doll/backpack, M&D ice cream set, color wonder pack, and books).

I'm not going to bring all of our gifts with us to my parents' house, just the Santa gifts and probably 1 game each, plus Elmo for Katey. They will have enough to open there, and we'll need room to bring everything back. They will be getting a TON from my family. Seriously, I think they went too overboard this year. Spoiled kids! My Mom and sister also like to do the stockings for all the grandkids, so I didn't need to worry about that.

Next year I want to stay home, I really want the kids to be able to wake up in their own home on Christmas morning.

My kids get about 10 gifts each, all wrapped and all from Santa. Some of them are small, like socks, some are big (aka expensive), like sneakers (for 12 yr old boys, these are a crazy $100), some are shared, like Xbox live. They never get anything from mom and dad, which I guess seems weird after reading some of these posts. That was the way my parents and my husband's parents had Xmas for us. And we have just continued the tradition.

The kids also get stocking stuffers, all wrapped as well. These range from packs of Goldfish to gum. Then they buy each other small gifts from the winter fair at school, and usually something small for us too.

Ed and I also get a few things for each other that we wrap and open with the kids. They love to see what each of us get!

Mason is probably getting about 10 gifts this year. I feel like I overdid it a bit. Whoops. The sad thing is he only asked for 2 things, so why do I feel the need to buy him so much? I wish I would stop that.

Dustin did this last year for Noah. He felt like it was his last year to spoil Noah because Eli was too young to know the difference. Maybe that's part of it.

I think this is part of it. His letter to Santa only asked for one single thing, a Fijit robot thing. Then, about a week ago he started talking about this pokemon figure that he wanted. All he wanted was the one little figure, but instead I got him that one, plus like 5 other ones, plus a big pokemon play set thing. Totally way more than he even wanted and I'm sure he would have loved just getting the robot and the one pokemon guy. I just hope I don't turn him into a brat for next year. Also, I didn't celebrate Christmas as a kid, so I love to live it vicariously through him.

My sister and I did the same exact thing! It is what I miss the most about Christmas from my childhood and it makes me sad that Lucas doesn't have any siblings to do that with....

We don't wrap Santa gifts either and as far as I know he never peeks at his Santa gifts he always wakes us up first to go check to see if Santa has come.

I don't know the exact number of presents Lucas is getting but I will try to list everything.

When he saw Santa he only asked for Harry Potter Legos, wood, and nails. So from Santa he is getting a 3 small Lego Harry Potter Sets and a kid's toolbox with kid sized tools and bird house. He'll also have some stocking stuffers (gum, small transformers, m&m candy cane, pencils, notebook) None of Santa's things are wrapped.

From us he is getting a lego board game, wii game, hoodie with built in headphones, slippers, pjs, a shirt, a pair of flip flops, and a book.

His Great Grandparents both send money for me to pick something out from them. So I buy him something from them and wrap it and then if there is any money left over I take him to do fun things (ice skating, movies, that sort of thing) Under the tree from them he has a Tag Solar System map kit, and that Hallmark Jingle Readalong dog. Everytime he saw Jingles in the store he would beg for him and get sad that he didn't ask Santa for him.
