Our school is having a Christmas craft fair and each class is supposed to make crafts to sell. 100% of the money goes back to your class. I just can't think of ANYTHING !!!! Help !!! I am room mom for 2 classes !!! I ordered travel mugs that have the paper inserts to decorate for Landon's class as a "make and take" type thing at the fair, but need an idea for Kylie's 1st grade class.
It needs to be fairly cheap and fast/easy for the kids to make in class this week. The idea is that we can bring our kids to the craft fair and they can purchase items as gifts for parents, grandparents, etc... and also parents can just shop.
Some of the other classes are doing handprint tiles, scrabble tile necklaces, filling plastic ornaments to sell.
How about you could make a bunch of those applesauce cinnamon tree ornaments and the kids could be the ones to decorate them with glitter and fabric glue and they could tie the ribbon on them?
Sorry probably not a major money maker but totally doable on a class scale.
That's the problem.... By the time I buy the supplies, there is no profit. It would just be easier for me to donate $50 to the class and call it a day !!! I could ask parents to donate a dollar or two but I feel like I am always asking for donations and I will be asking for money for the teacher's gift soon too.

Applesauce cinnamon ornaments were my first thought too!
Placemats are a great idea. Decorate a piece of construction paper then laminate. Easy, uses supplies on hand (glitter!) and actually can be useful. And you can sell for cheap too. Robin has the best craft ideas.
cheap cheap cheap.... i always recommend this craft--so quick and easy and people love them. at lowes you can buy individual ceramic tiles for super cheap. at michael's you can buy stayz on brand ink pads. stamp onto tiles, shellac if desired. viola-- coasters or hot plates.
I just got ornaments from Oriental trading to make - the fillable plastic kind. I think a dozen of them was in the $7 range, but I found some in the clearance section for $2 per dozen - granted they were remembrance ones, to make to remember your passed on relatives, however I didn't use anything except the feather (I was making favors for a Breaking Dawn viewing party) Anyways, for that little, you could fill them with whatever you wanted. (But I have to say the feathers are really cute - I have about 4 of them on my tree right now, lol.)
Landon's class ended up making reindeer food and snowman poop, so I used the dollar store travel mugs for the 1st grade. They were a big hit. The kids loved decorating the insert and the 1st grade class made $375.00. I love everyone's ideas and will def be using them at some point. Thanks !!!!
