Need ideas for kitchen

We rent but our landlord is letting us take money off our rent to paint our kitchen. The house is very old and has these horrible ugly salmon and white colored tiles on the countertops and the cabinets are painted a baby blue and white, it is so ugly! Does anybody have any ideas what colors would look good on the walls and cabinets? Thanks so much as I have no idea!

do you have any pics, Jasmine? It's hard to visualize. are you able to paint the cabinets too? or just the walls?

I will try to take pictures tomorrow, we are able to paint the cabinets too.
