Mason is clueless. I think his friend Madison has a crush on him - she kept trying to steal a kiss from him at the fall festival when they hugged, but he would pull away and laugh. So cute.
He's friends with everyone though - he really reminds me of my brother, who I used to call Mr. Louisville because he knew EVERYONE there. I call Mason Mr. Hisschoolname. So he probably wouldn't even pick up on a girl showing him extra attention.
Joe is clueless too. Last year in K a girl he had been in preschool with sent him a Valentine and he was just oblivious. This year there are a couple of girls in his class who keep asking him if he will marry them but he always just complains about them being annoying.
eta When I was 6 there was a boy in our class who all the girls fancied. We would deliberately get caught while playing kiss chase if he was near. I wonder if he found us annoying too.

He likes ALL the ladies. Usually older ones. They all think they are his "only one." There have been waitresses at restaurants we go to frequently (I said older ) who know him and I think they crush back on him! They are like 18 years old.
When he was young young he would say to any attractive female "My you're lookin pretty!" And they would giggle and say thank you.
He's gotten older and now he is just "you're pretty!" and again, they giggle say how sweet and cute he is. And in the back of my mind I'm thinking "he says this to ALL the girls, you just don't know it!"
I honestly think he might be a player . . .
but he has reported all first grade that he has a girlfriend named Gina that he only sees at recess so I'm not sure if she's in 2nd grade or 1st in a different class.

i think Ivy is heading that way too - she is not shy at all. (Don and I have NO idea how she is our child ;)
Boy, do I have a story. It's kind of long, but a summary just wouldn't do the drama justice.
So about a month ago, I picked A up from school. It was the afternoon before the school's annual pancake feed... a school fundraiser event where the families socialize and eat pancakes.
A gets in the car, and announces she has a boyfriend.
Me: Who? A: S. Me: Wow. Um, ok. Does he know this? A: No. I'm going to tell him tonight at the pancake feed.
We come home, gather the rest of the family, and head back to school. The whole way, she's super nervous and keeps talking about S. I'm dying. This is the first I'm hearing of any crush, and she's planning on telling him. No time to acclimate to the idea...
So we get there before S, and we're out on the playground, and she and her girlfriend P are running around, waiting for him to come. Finally, she sends P in to look for him inside the school, and P is successful, and brings him outside. Damon, myself and my mother are all a little distance away... far enough that we couldn't hear, but we can see everything.
P walks out with S, A walks up to them. P gives S a hug... A gives her a SUPER dirty look, grabs S by the hand, and takes him over to a park bench under a tree. They sit down. (My mom and I are literally not breathing at this point.)
She says something, he says something. She says something again, they both look over at us. She says something, he says something. He gets up, and slowly walks off, smiling. She looks at me, and once she's sure I've seen her, she runs over and sits behind a shrub, that blocks her from the view of the rest of the playground.
My heart sinks.
I slowly walk over there...
Me: How did it go? A: He already has a girlfriend. Me: Wow, really? Who? A: D. Me: Oh. A: It's okay. I'll figure it out.
She gets up, and takes off running to rejoin P and her other friends. She's totally fine, and I'm still trying to find a pulse.
As it turns out, I adore D's mom (J), and wander over to her -- still in shock, unable to believe what I've just seen my teeny tiny baby do.
Me: Boy, do I have a story for you. J: Really? Me: Well, A apparently has her first crush, and I just witnessed her telling him. J: Who is it? Me: Well... S. J: Oooo. How'd that go... Me: Like you can imagine, I'd guess. J: This is actually a great thing... D has been trying to figure out how to break up with S forever -- she likes his older brother!

You know, I don't remember paying attention to boys until about 4th or 5th grade, and this kind of drama didn't erupt until junior high!
The epilogue: A was successful in snagging her man. Unfortunately, she and her man (and a few other friends) like to socialize a little too much at school... to the point that we are getting correspondence about it from her teachers.
Again -- this didn't happen until jr high!!
So I'm glad to hear the other kiddos are there, too. (Melissa, I have "I love Shane" notes ALL OVER THE HOUSE).
When I ask her how her day went - she talks about S. Her first field trip on the bus to the playhouse... all she had to say was how she sat next to him both on the bus and during the play. In her group class picture... I'll give y'all one guess who she's standing next to. It's NUTS!
Thanks for listening. I'm *totally* not ready for this.

oh wow!!! You totally handled that one well! something similar happened here that makes me kinda nervous because I definitely don't remember this happeng until jr. high.
as i mentioned, ivy liked the boy zach (and evidently all the other girls as well). so, this year, ivy told me that he was kaleigh's boyfriend and how did she know this? well, kaleigh told ivy that zach's mom called her mom to tell her mom that he was (LOL) except that ivy totally believes the story. oh boy.
Colin says he has a girlfriend- a girl in his class. She was in his K class last year..Apparently since they both love nachos, they are destined to be boyfriend and girlfriend..
he wants a playdate with her and I am all for it but I don't know how to get it all set up since he only knows her through school.
