Ivy had a crush last year on a boy, Zach (but he has since changed schools). She was so funny with it though (I am going to marry Zach, etc.) The teacher said ALL the girls had a crush on him and would chase him at the playground.
I definitely remember having boy crushes at this age!! (now, I just have crushes on houses ;)
Charlie had a girl (a grade older) that called him her half boyfriend (because there are so many other nice boys out there).
He was completely puzzled by the whole thing, lol. She made him a shoe box full of letters and he couldn't understand why she would put it in a shoe box. It was TOO cute.

omg too too funny!! (i love seeing the other side - I remember it with Andrew when he was this age. but, i agree, boys are a little clueless when it comes to girls ;)
Kaylen tells me she thinks a boy (a few grades older) is handsome when he smiles, then she tells me to not tell his mom LOL. I think its adorable. My dh thinks were in for a rough time with her as a teenager.
oh, and josie had a HUGE crush on this little rich bad boy at soccer this summer. His name was Griffin. She thought they were best friends (he completely ignored her). He was a total ass, lmao.
Mike made a comment about him at one point and she yelled "YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HIM!"
Um, I found a sticky note on my floor the other day that was written in red marker that said " I love Danny" and it was in my daughters handwriting. I did not say anything to her. I think it is normal. Plus, he really is a cute little boy, lol.

so cute!!
and oh yes, I think we are going to have our hands full with Ivy, as well!!

Cute stories! I'm so glad I haven't had to deal with this yet. I haven't even heard about my 12 and 14yo having crushes on anyone yet. I doubt that will last much longer, though. And in a couple years, if I don't hear something I'd start to worry.
such cute stories! i completely had crushes by this age (even in kindergarten) - i think R might have a little crush on this one kid - she talks about him a LOT - but denies the crush to the death.
Connor started this at age 3. He liked the same girl all year long when he was in his first year of preschool. The next year he liked a new girl all year long. Then in k he liked a third girl to the point the teacher had to sit them together because if the little girl told him to do his work he would, but if the teacher told him he wouldn't! This same girl is also in his first grade class and he is still obsessed...he even draws pictures of their future home together. All in all he is surprisingly "monogomous"!
Grace likes our next door neighbor who is a year younger and still in diapers. Lmao. We told her she should atleast pick a boy who is potty trained;)

LOL!!
(of course, I am a horrible mom because I tease Ivy about kissing the boys!) now, i'm worried I've created a monster because now she says "I'm going to kiss Zach (which is ok because he is no longer at that school ;)
I super love all these stories!! Today, I dropped Ivy off at her class (which I don't normally do) and there is one boy in there that she has a sort of love/hate relationship with and when he saw Ivy today, his little eyes just lit up! it was so cute

Gavin is fairly oblivious to this but Owen is the total opposite. I think there is a little girl (she is itty bitty!) in gavin's class that he likes but he doesn't really act like it or show it. I think he just likes her a lot. He asked last year how to spell her name and when I asked why he said, "she is just really beautiful."
Owen is the total opposite. Since school started he has been talking about katelynn all the time. Then Cora. Now, katelynn, cora, cortlyn, etc. I went in and volunteered the other week and his teacher said that he used to just be with katelynn and then one day he started sitting next to cora and putting his arm around her in circle. Katelynn proceeded to cry for three days and ask to go home and be with her mommy. OMG! I talked to owen about it - by that time he was already playing with both of them - and explained that it hurt her feelings. He said: "she just wanted her mommy. She kept crying 'I want my mommy.'" So I tried to explain that she wasn't upset about wanting her mommy - she wanted her mommy because he hurt her feelings. So, I think he is back on track with katelynn (lol!) and has balanced out playing with everybody. But, the girls love him and flock to him and he loves every minute of it. I have already told him it's not okay to kiss girls - he hadn't but I think he would have soon if I didn't tell him not to. He said, maybe when I'm older I can kiss katelynn. He's going to be a handful.
Marcos loves ALL girls. And they think he loves them but i'm starting to think he just loves the beauty of them. He enter the classroom and is something like this: "Oh Mary... you look beautiful today. Mrs. Montalvo how pretty is your dress. Debbie i like your hair today. Betty would you like me to help you out with your backpack?"
All the mothers think that he is in love with their girls but i think he is in love with love.
So everyday when i pick him the girls give me all the details about how he behave, with which boy he played, what he ate...
again... when he grows up i might have a BIG problem here...
He likes ALL the ladies. Usually older ones. They all think they are his "only one." There have been waitresses at restaurants we go to frequently (I said older ) who know him and I think they crush back on him! They are like 18 years old.
When he was young young he would say to any attractive female "My you're lookin pretty!" And they would giggle and say thank you.
He's gotten older and now he is just "you're pretty!" and again, they giggle say how sweet and cute he is. And in the back of my mind I'm thinking "he says this to ALL the girls, you just don't know it!"
I honestly think he might be a player . . .
but he has reported all first grade that he has a girlfriend named Gina that he only sees at recess so I'm not sure if she's in 2nd grade or 1st in a different class.
