I have an ipad and looked at tablets. While my ipad doesnt do flash it was tons lighter than the few tablets I had seen and is really user friendly straight out of the box. I have wifi only and can play most of my apps offline. I used it to surf the internet out and about play games keep my calendar, my kids entertained watch shows when away etc. MY FAV.
Love our iPad. Super easy to use. I just have WIFI, but SIL has 3G and uses it alot. I have 3G on my phone, so no need. The kids actually use it more than I do!!
We have ipads. I dont know any other, so icant compare.
But we LOVE our ipads. We are an apple family, so we have already built up a huge library- over the passed years we uploaded all our dvds (literally hundreds of them). And anything new we just buy on itunes. I have all the kids classic shows, like most all the disney classics and sesame streets etc. that makes the ipad a great travel toy for the kids when we travel, which fir us is very often.
We also have apple tv, so we are dvd free in this house- so clara can watch her disney movies or fave kids shows without having scratched dvds, or a messy clutter of dvds laying around. So Nice!
We have a full computer in our home office, i use that for any real pc needs,my ipad is mostly what i surf the net with- great for recipes in the kitchen too. So, for my use needs and the fact that we alrrady have a huge online library, ipads are ideal for us.
