Which rug do you like?

Not sure if i'll get much response...but thought i'd try.

i originally brought the brown rug, and ordered the persian style rug for don's office.  but i had to try it out in the living room...lol and really like it in there but not quite sure.  one main issue is that i would need to coordinate with the foyer and it is a trellis stencil (which i think goes better with the original brown rug) and doesn't really go at all with the persian style rug.  would that bother you?

what would you do?

rug one is the brown one (the one i bought for the room)

rug two is the persian style rug

eta that this room is a work-in-progress. ie. the chairs are not finished, the windows and paint.

I think either one of them work, but personally I like the brown best. I like how it works and incorporates the shapes in your room. I also like it better with your light. As for the other rug, I think it depends on positioning. I think as long as they are not side by side it should be fine. I realize you might be able to look at one while standing on the other, but as long as the spaces are defined, it should be fine. I can't wait to see the room when you are done.

Thanks libby!!  The rooms are next to eachother but not open to one another...hard to explain.  basically, you come in my front door and the foyer is right there (it is like a small room with three walls) then to your right is the Living room and to the left is the dining room and kitchen.  i suck at getting my rooms to flow.

I like the brown mostly because of the dark drawer thing on the left and your pillows.

Thanks Kelly!  Yeah, I still love the rug, but with all the other things I want to use, it just doesn't work.  I am thinking of getting the Elton Settee from West Elm in Lagoon (I ordered a fabric swatch).  I love the color!

they're brown.  i did a mock up with the settee.  (and you can see a little of the piano - it is a little tight in there right now)
