Lucas just took school pictures on Friday. We should get the proofs back in a few weeks. His school does pictures 2x a year. The fall picture is taken then the preview sent home. This is the one they use for the yearbook. We usually spend $30-$40 on them. Then in the spring they do pictures again and usually let us choose the pose, background, but you have to pay for these in advance. We usually get these also but only get the smallest package around $20. They also do class pictures the same day and they are usually $10. Then right after that order forms come out for the yearbook I can't remember if it is $15 or $20. It's good we usually get the smaller packages because I am so bad about passing out the pictures.

My parents always bought our school pictures (except for my senior pictures they were HORRIBLE and I asked my parents to just buy the previews so they did) I also have all my yearbooks from 4th-12th grade that they also bought. So I guess I just never thought about not buying Lucas'.

This is Lucas' 3rd year at the school and we've bought pictures every time they are offered. I don't feel bad about spending the money because it is a fundraiser for the school. Plus until Lucas started school he had never had his picture professionally taken.

Colin's pictures are on Monday. The most expensive package was $17. We're getting that one. We're splitting it between the in-laws and my grandparents and of course us! But we're also going to take the plunge and do an actual family portrait.
