corey you and your family are in my thoughts.  So sorry to hear about your mother.  We are dealing with a somewhat similar situation with my fil as well (emphysema and a ton of other things on top of it) and we're scrambling to get everything tied up just incase he passes quickly.  So stressful.  Hang in there!

thanks so much for all the kind words. it really means alot. she passed away last night around midnight. it was the strangest thing...the nurse stopped by and said sometimes a person will hang on when certain people are present in the room because they can't bear to leave them or disappoint them or whatever. she had hung on all day without change so my dad went home to rest (he had been up since 1am the night before). minutes after he left when it was just my sisters, my husband and i she passed away.

Praying for comfort for you entire family.

And I've seen exactly what the nurse said, and I've also seen them hang on until someone certain gets there, like someone who lives out of town.  It is a very strange thing.
