Thanks for organizing Corey. Kiera just sent out her first letter and is super excited. She wants to know everything about this little girl from New York (Rachel) and it was fun to look up New York on a map and talk about what she likes, doesnt like, her sister, pets, interests etc and how these were all good things to ask in a letter! She was so excited to put the stamp on the letter and take it out to the mailbox.

That is soooo fun that she is that into it and I'm super impressed you've already mailed off your first letter!
Did she write the letter entirely herself?
I'm having such homework drama with Jake that I'm curious how he will react when I ask him to write *anything* not homework related!

I explained the concept to her first, then we looked at Rachel's picture on facebook, and she started asking me questions, like, does she have a brother? And then some questions I didnt know the answer to, like what day is her birthday? And I said, oh thats a good question for your letter. Then she got all excited to write it RIGHT then, which I was surprised, since she is also not excited about writing! We started out with her introducing herself "My name is Kiera..." Which she knew. She did ask for alot of help on how to spell, which sometimes drives me crazy ("then what mom, then what? even on words I KNOW she knows) but, I held my tongue...

R wrote in her letter who her new teacher is going to be, and that her BFF has the same teacher - lol. i think that's all she wrote!
Aw I wish I would have seen this before. If any other girls want in on this, let me know. I think Madi would love it. She always complains about how she gets no mail.
