Ivy usually will eat scrambled eggs, toast and fruit or waffle or french toast (this is if I have time to make it) if not, it is something portable, like go-gurts or cereal in a bag. sometimes we do pb&j sandwich too. she also loves baked stuff, like rolls or muffins. If i get up early enough, i will make those and throw one in her lunch bag as well.
We do cereal every day during the school year. For the summer, I make him eggs and toast almost every day, as he loves it and I think it is better for him than cereal. But, during the school year we just don't have time.
On the weekends, Efe makes him pancakes or French toast for a treat, but I don't really want him eating that before school. He eats it without syrup, but even still, I would rather save that for the weekend. I always feel like crap after eating pancakes, and I don't want him feeling that crash during the school day. But mostly it is because I just don't have time to do much on school days.
M2 is not a big breakfast person. I can hardly get him to eat anything. I'll usually give him cereal before school, which he only takes a few bites of. Then I will give him a cereal bar, or granola bar or something, to eat on the way to the bus, but again he only takes a couple of bites. Ocassionally we will make oatmeal or eggs, but it's still the same story.
On the weekends we will do pancakes, eggs, or waffles, but it's very rare that we do that during the week. We just don't have time for it....
