Mary Beth's school is starting to require uniforms this year. It's not a super strict uniform - black, khaki, blue, or grey pants/skirts/shorts and any solid color polo style shirt. Just wondering about other schools across the country (well, world I guess. )
No uniforms for Joe, public school, but the next closest public elementary to us is a 'traditional' school and they wear khaki pants/skirts and either red, white or navy blue polos.
Khaki or black bottoms with a belt Red or white polo shirt with no logo (must be tucked)
Edited to add that's him on his first day of school for Prek at the same school. I love uniforms except for the fact that no matter what time of year it is if it is a school day he is in the same uniform so it looks like he never changes his clothes. LOL

i didn't know you were home schooling, tracey! how is it going??
We start on Monday, I think it will go well. It's a DVD system of the same material her school used last year. I've watched the first day on my own and it seems good.
Depending on dh work schedule well decide whether shell go back for 2 nd or not
No uniforms in Luxembourg.
I also find that kids and teenagers don't have the same stress / peer pressure to have certain clothes as they do in the states. If anything, teens wear skinny jeans and any kind of tshirt or shirt (sweatshirt in colder weather) and sneakers (converse type), both boys and girls. Girls wear very little makeup and hair is usually worn any length but not styled- often pulled up in a ponytail or messy bun made with elastic.
Another reason I like raising my kids here.
Public School and yes, we have uniforms. It is very strict: black, khaki or navy pants with no cargo pockets. White, black, navy, royal blue or royal green polo shirts.
