Ugh, Kelly, that's rough! I often wish we could just give them a pill for their meals and say that's that.

I really hope things start to turn around for you. I remembered after posting this topic that my sister sent me a cookbook for Xmas, I think it's the one by Jerry Seinfeld's wife, I don't even remember. I need to figure out where that is among my boxes (yes, i still have unpacked boxes!) and see what might work for us.

i've made everything in that cookbook.  *sigh*

Good question. Some days it is so frustrating trying to get him to eat! It's like he turned 5 and he became ultra picky.

He will rarely eat meat... forget hamburger, bbq, steak, meatloaf, and just about anything else in that catagory. He also hates mashed potatos, hash browns, bake potatoes, and lettuce. He also hates beans now. Sometimes he says he hates spaghetti and just wants to eat the plan noodles no sauce.

I usually go grocery shopping alone but just happened to take him with me this weekend and he was actually asking to buy different vegtables to prepare instead of buying canned or frozen. We bought corn and green beans. He had fun shucking corn and helping me put it in the pot to cook. Tomorrow we'll do the greenbeans. He loves to help cook which I don't do enough. I am hoping this summer to let him pick out a recipe for us to make to get him to try new things.

The foods that he never seems to refuse are tacos or burritos, cheese manacotti, cheese quisadilla, cheese ravioli. He loves grilled cheese, cheese pizza, sometimes pasta salad, mac & cheese (I'll put ham and brocolli in it sometimes) soup, he loves wonton soup. He will eat breakfast for dinner (scrambled eggs, grits, fruit) He also loves rice usually. We have salad night every so often. He doesn't eat lettuce but he'll put the other fresh raw veggies, cheese, and boiled egg in a bowl and eat that. The other night we made our own subs and he liked that... he did ham, cheese, tomatos, pickles, and olives.

I think that I'm really lucky with Andrew. I am extremly picky and I didn't want him to grow up like me, so I have fed him everything under the sun since he was a baby. He loves beans. Sometimes he'll have a snack of canned black beans alone. He eats most veggies. He loves "brown meat". Tri-tip, steak... He doesn't like really spicy food or sea food. I'm ok with that. He also loves Mac n' Cheese and will goes days where he asks for it almost daily.

I've found that if he can pick it out, help cook it, he's much more likely to eat it. Try going to the store and letting the kids pick out whatever fruits and veggies they want.

Anyone heard of Homemade Gourmet? Well, I hosted a party a month ago and just went to another. They do 4 Meals in 4 Minutes. Your bring chicken or pork and leave with seasoned meals ready for the freezer. (Kind of like Let's Dish) I did Chipotle Fajita Chicken, Cilantro Citrus Pineapple Citrus, Garlic Lemon Chicken, Creamy Enchilada Chicken, Rosemary Citrus Chicken and a few more. Now my kids typically won't eat anything if it looks like it has been seasoned, but they loved everything!! As did the neighbor kids and my nieces!! Like, asking for seconds loved it!

The company sells the spices and you just add either oil, or OJ, or ck broth, etc. They have lots of recipes too. I seriously was blown away!!
