Opinion Regarding Behavior..

Colin and DH are one of three sets of father/son ushers at church. Usually Colin does a wonderful job at ushering but these two past Sundays, he hasn't done very well. This morning, DH said that Colin was not behaving very well.. He was very disruptive. So when he and DH got home (Adelaide and I b/c I've got a sore throat and we usually hang out in the nursery), I had him write a letter to the congregation apologizing for his behavior. Nothing scarring, I don't think. It is a basic apology.

That isn't too awful of me, is it?

I don't want to be one of "those parents" who has the worst disciplinary methods but I'm trying to convey to him that our actions and our words have consequences and that part of those consequences is reaching out and apologizing for our behavior to make ammends.

I think that's a great consequence for misbehaving at church. Good thinking.
