hey girls.

i was going to buy jake's cake, but i think i'm going to make it now.

i'm going to make a barefoot contessa recipe, but i want to fill it with chocolate mousse, or something similar.

suggestions?  should i just do pudding?

I don't think pudding would hold up nearly as well as mousse.

I have made this cake before... Very yummy but a lot if work. However, you can just use the choc mousse part of the recipe, which was really easy. It calls to infuse whipping cream with cinnamon sticks, you cont have go do that but maybe add a few drops of cinnamon? Real easy... Whip the cream then stir in melted bittersweet chocolate and voila the mousse is made. Easy!

Here is another recipe for easy choc mousse. You don't need to add the cinnamon.

If the mousse is too thin for good consistency, put in fridge a few minutes and stir regularly until desired soreading consistency.

And I suggest keeping cake I in fridge once done. Or at least not letting it get too warm.

I think your idea sounds super yummy?

Ps. Thanks for letting me be number one in zuma for a day! smile.gif
