everyone should be saying with a loud "NO" after what happend to me LOL..."but" I still feel like I need to paint. I was trying to paint the wall in my dining room because I don't feel like the room is making much of a statement...it seems a little boring to me. or the other option is a darker rug. wwyd?
btw, that is the free Craigslist table and chairs. Don refinished the table and I painted two chairs and have two more to do (so the slipcovered ones will be gone). and the other picture is of the roman shades I made (I actually have to re-do them but that is basically what it will look like)
the next picture is of the chair as it is now and the fabric that I am thinking of using - "if" i paint, i probably will leave the lighter fabric.
the next pic is of the brick wall and painted black door - also, the piano with pics above it (I need to actually hang the pictures)
1. I love the color. 2. When I buy a house, can you help me? 3. You absolutely should not even be thinking about painting again. I only agree with your choice if you get to sit relxed, drinking, while Don works his butt off.

Ha!! Jen...love #3...but Don will probably not be helping me (he hates painting). so, this is not likely to happen for a long time. I have so many ideas now and this whole broken leg thing just puts a big dent in those plans :sigh
It looks like you have lots of natural light coming in that room, which really gives it a great feel. Honestly, because you have the dark frames and other dark wood, I really think changing the rug into a darker color would go a long way. I think it would "anchor" the room and also help give it a focal point. Also that pop of color on the floor will go a long way in bringing together the colors in the rest of the room. Also, it will make your wood floors, which are light, show their beauty and emphasis the natural light. Also the light floors will then be a great companion to the dark wood and the light chairs. BTW, love the roman shade in there! I am not just saying that so you will stay off your leg and rest. I know you well enough to know you will find something else to do.
But don't you dare think about it. At all. Not right now, girly.
No.
No, no, and no.
No...not right now - that's for sure ;) I actually have a long list of stuff i want to do and hopefully i can do most of it without standing. I want to finish the roman shades and do some for the second floor bay window as well.
