I have prime (which REALLY pays for itself this time of year), but my problem is the inertia I have in finishing my shopping because I'm afraid I'm going to buy something and then it's going to be a gold box deal.

I wish they'd done their frustration free packaging again. That was pretty sweet.

Student prime is my bff, but I feel my blood pressure rising as the ticker ticks down. (My debt to income ratio is rising as well, lmao.)

I even had to sign Joe up for a trial account for 2day shipping at tru after mine ran out. I truly love 2 day shipping. I think it's extra exciting because it's rarely even 2 days! I feel like I place the order and it appears an hour later.

That said, I need to stop. Like, today. I refuse to buy more wrapping paper, and it's dwindling at a (very) rapid rate. Today I had to fold a present on the diagonal for maximum usage.

Seriously addicted to Amazon. (And I'm loving the fact that places like Kohls hooked up the free shipping this year, too.)

Holy crap... shoprunner on TRU almost put me into convulsions.

There were certain items in my cart that qualified for shoprunner, and others that qualified for a spend $50 get free shipping offer... and I was trying to figure out the perfect combination of orders that allowed me to pay the least in shipping.

It took like an hour for me to work through all of the possible permutations. No lie.

Which is why I'm such a fan of Amazon prime. Do a quick price check with Target, Walmart, TRU, and if it's in the same ballpark, single click order and it's mine.

This year it's been especially important, because we're spending Christmas in Wyoming so buying local to avoid shipping costs wasn't an option... because then I have to figure out how to get it all there. And given that it costs to check bags...

Yeah, there's more than you wanted to know about my shipping drama. I just cancelled my free trial to shoprunner yesterday, because I was afraid I'd forget and end up stuck with the $79 or whatever. I'm totally the sucker that does that which makes them offer those dayum deals in the first place.

I too signed up for prime trial as an Amazon Mom (that really doesn't sound like a complimentary thing to be called an Amazon mom, btw)

I heart it.  And they struck gold with me.  I did way way more shopping there instead of normal stores.  I also think I will keep it after my trial runs out.  I adore I can buy a $3 clearance item and not worry about reaching $25.

Even my penny pinching, eye rolling husband likes it :)

Annnnddd I prefer Amazon MP3 to Itunes.  I have found some crazy good deals (and free).

Is your work email an .edu account?

Because when your Mom account trial is done, you can totally do the Student account (that's the only verification is a valid edu email) and get another year out of the deal.

Itu.

I forgot to sign in to ShopRunner when Hannah bought her gift from her great-grandparents. It'll get here in time, but regular shipping, and I almost cried. I wanted to call them and have them cancel it out and start all over.

But, it's probably better that I wait... I've been tempted to let her play with everything in the house, and that one will be the worst because she wants it *so* bad, and she knows what it is. I may have to sneak it in the house so she doesn't know when it arrives, she's going to drive me crazy.

But yes, ita, not as big of a fan of ShopRunner as Amazon, but it's a good option to have since I did get a tiny big of use. (Literally, tiny, because you have to sign in. Fine, I got *one* use out of it. This morning, lmao.)

We have gotten at least 2 packages a day from Amazon since Cyber week.  My garage is like an Amazon warehouse threw up in it.

Kohl's has rocked my world this month, but they take FOREVER to ship.  With Amazon (and we always have Prime, because we get things like groceries through them all year long, coffee and Pirate's Booty and shit), I've gotten things the day after I've ordered them, which is INSANE.

I swear they are rewarding my household for being such good customers for so long, LOL.  We even bought our big-screen HDTV from Amazon 3 years ago, with free shipping.  Arrived without a scratch!

Oh yeah, Amazon MP3s kick ass too!!!

I'm new to this part of Amazon, but I've been finding some CRAZY cheap deals on things like cereal, etc through slick deals.  Love it.

I love Kohl's prices but their shipping leaves much to be desired! If you like them on FB you should see all the negative feedback they are getting! You would think they would work on that.

Ditto all of this. Their free prime trial for parents was genius. I've done 99% of my christmas shopping on amazon this year. Last night - yes NIGHT - I ordered some shoes for my mom and they sent me an email saying they shipped but might be delayed because of weather. I got home and they were here!!! Nuts.

Plus, since you can spend a certain amount and extend the trial we got the carseats there  (that insurance reimbursed for) and it extended our prime membership! YAY!

I too am addicted and it's bad! Carter dragged me upstairs to, "See Mommy. See Mommy." There were many, many Amazon boxes on the front steps. It's so bad I forget what's coming. Prime has spoiled me. Now if I have to wait for more than two days for something, I get crabby.

Another addiction Amazon MSer here! I would say a good 75% of my gifts came from Amazon. I am even giving Amazon gift cards this year - that's how much I LOVE THEM!!
