What type of cookies/dessert are you making for christmas this year?

I'm looking for something new to make this year and am starting the baking this friday.

Also what type of packaging do you tend to use to distribute the sweets in (like if you were giving them as a gift and there are more than a few different types of sweets in the package how do you usually do it?)

Thanks!!

I haven't baked at all this year. cry.gif

I don't get out of school until the 23rd, so we are probably going to be cookie free, sadly.

I'm making a chocolate chip cheese ball to take to everywhere we go for Christmas since that's easy peasy, though.

I haven't had one of those since my baby shower!  So good!

Know what else is easy peasy and super good?

Take a tub of cheescake filling, a bag of chocolate chip cookie dough, mix that together and eat with those little butter cookies that kids put on their fingers?

so good!

My friend had a cookie exchange on Friday so I just baked 6 dozen of these... they were so good!!!! Lucas even loved them and he HATES nuts and coconut. He thought they were just SUPER yummy chocolate chip cookies.

cowboy cookies
makes 6 dozen

what you need
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups butter, at room temp
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups sweetened flake coconut
2 cups chopped pecans
make it
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in bowl. In 8 quart bowl, beat butter on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Gradually beat in sugars, beat to combine. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Beat in vanilla extract. Stir in flour mixture until just combined. Add chocolate chips, oats, coconut and pecans.

For each cookie, drop 2 Tbsp dough on ungreased cookie sheet

Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, until edges are lightly browned: rotate sheets halfway through. Remove cookies from rack to cool.
