What do you have in your home?

Do you like them?

If not, what would you rather have?

We're buying a new house so we have a clean slate, and I don't know what to do.

What do you have in your home?

Cheap plastic white blinds. I know, jealous, right?

Do you like them?

They pretty much make me barf.

If not, what would you rather have?

bamboo roman shades, wooden slat blinds, or in the perfect world, windows with the blinds between the glass.

We're buying a new house so we have a clean slate, and I don't know what to do.

We've lived in this house for two years

The living room STILL doesn't have any kind of curtains on that window, only the plastic white blinds that Leah loves so very much.

I really, really need some curtains!

I love our shutters. yup, inside.

But, they were here when we moved in and would probably be expensive to buy. but, its an option I know people dont think of first so I thought I would throw it out there.

Congrats on the house!! that is awesome :)

we had the vinyl window blinds when we first moved in and I have slowly replaced them all to wood blinds and bamboo blinds. I absolutely LOVE the look. I also have curtains on some. I also love roman shades.

congrats on the new home!

We have wooden white blinds in girls room.

Front room has cellular shades with to the floor window treatments that are just kept open.

Dining room has sheer lining to the floor with a curtain window treatment that is tied back to hooks.

Bedroom is like a bamboo type shade.

I am happy with all of them. If I had a different style home I would do plantation shutters or some type of wooden blind if it fit the room. That or the light blocking cellular shade.

Our neighbor in AZ did this, and I really liked the look.  She said they were easy to clean too.

Will look in to this and see how expensive it is.  2-story home, lots of windows!

Thanks, everyone.

Lizzy - I'm sure I'll be picking your brain for decorating ideas in the future!
