Just the simple little peanut butter balls coated with chocolate. I always love these at holiday time but nobody in my family makes them.

Thanks!

1.5 cups smooth peanut butter
Half a cup of butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Approximate. 3 cups of powdered sugar

Mix these 4 ingredients together till smooth. Form into balls about an inch to 1.5 inches big. Place on cookie sheet and chill about an hour.

About 8 ounces chocolate and 2 teaspoons crisco shortening. Melt chocolate and shortening until smooth.

Pick each pb ball with a toothpick and dip 3/4 in chocolate. Place in cookie tray covered with waxed per. Remove toothpick. Chill till firm.

You can use milk, semisweet chips, or my fave a good quality dark chocolate - as you like.

Mmmmmm...I love these. (shhh!!!! Don't tell my Wolverine hubby, tee hee!!!)

I think I might have to make these this year!!!

PS-Megan, do you use something to keep the chocolate melted? I actually bought one of those little things for keeping chocolate melted when I made easter eggs this spring-I am thinking it would be perfect for this as well!!

Like a mini fondue pot? No.

I just dunk them quickly, and briefly rewarm if necessary.

They are so yummy!

Yes, it is basically a tiny little fondue pot-it actually works really well, and it was cheap. Definitely not a necessity, but it does come in handy!!!
