oh god..i caught a glimpse of it the other day (the episode where the family had a huge lizard walking around their house) and they had bunny rabbits without a hutch - they just lived in the master bedroom. that was just crazy. but, the part that made me so sad was when that guy made the girl give up her guitar. i couldn't watch it after that...that poor girl (she said she put it under her bed so it could be protected)
I love that show!!! But I am not sure I have seen the one you are talking about. I think Niecy Nash is great, and they do a lot with the money they raise!!
There are moments when it is hard on people, especially the kids. But I think they really do a lot of good cleaning out those people's houses.
I often wonder how well the people keep them clean though.
They do push people to give away stuff that they are sentimental about, and even stuff they love, but really - it makes sense. If you call the show, you are kinda volunteering for that, since most of the makeover money comes from the yardsale - if you have a bunch of stuff that is worthless (to other people) you gotta give up the high ticket goodies... and on top of that, they usually also give furniture that they'd never be able to afford, to make it up to the people. They strong arm them a bit, but really, that mess wasn't created in a weekend, and they fix it in that long, so...
Idk, I love Niecy Nash - I think she's hysterical, so I'm completely biased. (And it makes me feel better. I have a messy spare room, but it makes me feel so much better about how much clutter I have!)
