Hi!

Had a busy day today.

Weather was cooler than normal, but sunny and beautiful.

I walked the long way home after taking the kids to school, then got ready (showered, washed hair, makeup, dressed, etc.) super-fast so I could run Mark's snack to school before snack-time.

I didn't realize until I got back in the van after taking the snack that I had lipstick all over my face, like a clown. Attractive.

I fixed it, then ran errands with my mom.

I finally got my new glasses! Woo-hoo!

I love the way they look but they're heavier than my old glasses. Might take some getting used to.

We also went to WM, the bank, and Kroger.

Then she invited me over for lunch.

After that, I went to the park with Kimberly and we walked 3 miles. It took us an hour.

Beautiful day for it, though.

I got home from walking at exactly 3:00.

The kids' school dismisses at 3:00.

Good thing they walk home without me now.

This afternoon, I made a meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and rolls. Yum!

And cleaned the kitchen.

The kids' friends ALL ended up in our backyard, as usual.

Then Henry got sick of them about 5:20 so I told them to leave so we could eat dinner.

After dinner, Mark asked if I would watch 2 shows with him in his room while he went to bed.

So I did. (Skipping Zumba.)

Henry is eating a snack now, then I'm going to read with him.

Kris I am glad you brought up the crock pot. I am trying to remember what I cook in the fall and winter. I am so bad about making the same few things. I change every so often, but am not good with making variety.

BTW you can also dump a jar of salsa on chicken or pork in the crock pot and it turns out pretty good too.

Tracy, soup is one of the easiest to make in the crock pot. What kind does your family like? Potato or broccoli and cheese are good crock pot soups too. We also like bean soup.

That's an excellent idea.  I am in the mood for hot food and using my oven too.  Now if it just didn't have any calories.

I hate prepping my crockpt for food. then I love it because there are so little dishes and I dont have to worry about it.

I only make bbq chicken, roast, and meatballs in mine

i love love my crockpot. probably even more than my breadmaker, which i adore.

i like to put a whole roaster chicken in the crockpot and cook it on low all day until the popper pops. you don't need to add any liquid at all and it is so moist and yummy when it is done.
