I think the prices are going to be fairly similar right in town no matter what the weekend, don't you think, Sonya?
Its a pricey city pretty much year round unfortunately. I think the Res Inn idea would probably work best to make it more reasonable $$ wise.
You don't think it's too far from central? It's a pretty easy walk across the bridge to the T but it is a little outside of the main areas.
I'd like to move this to a private section before we make a final hotel selection.
The internets are a scary place, you know.
i guess it just depends whether or not people would rather save $ and be able to fit more people per room or be right in town. i'm not sure whether or not i'll just drive in and drive home since i live so close or not. although that means i have to curtail the adult beverages...hmmm...

numerous fishing trips = you spend the night and have fun and as many adult beverages as you want!!!
I think it depends on how much everyone wants to pay, to be honest...Certain parts of the city are SOOO expensive, and that's a really good point with the graduations and prices potentially going up. The subway makes it so easy to get around that anywhere would be fine. Personally, I love the public gardens area and , and there is so much shopping in that area. But again, depends on how much people want to pay. Copley Sq. is good too...Perhaps the people going could give a price point, and then go from there?
For me, price is less of an issue than convience. I know that isn't the case for everyone but I love being exactly where we want to be - walk out the door and hit shops, restaurants, etc.
I hate trying to organize cabs, subway, etc (but I'm lazy like that).

I'm totally happy either way, really.
Sonya, I am with you on this one. Especially since we usually do 4 to a room, the cost of the room per night isn't so bad at even the more expensive hotels. I'd rather stay in a more central location.
Well, if $$ is not an issue, I would say Boston Common/public garden area is most central, IMO. One way towards Copley, another towards Fanueil Hall, another towards Beacon Hill...and of course the subway will get you anywhere...

I agree with this one too. Plus if you add up all the subway, taxi trips, it will be the same amount of $$ in the end.
