So what are your kiddos going to wear for school pictures?

Lucas' school pictures are in 2 week so we're trying to figure out what to send him in that day. They wear uniforms to school but on school picture day they can wear anything. I might just go with a plain white button down shirt and dark jeans.

I think what you have there looks good.  We just went with a pale blue button down shirt and dark jeans.  They advised going with a solid colour and we just got Joe's pictures back yesterday and they worked out great.

We did a nice blue polo with cute jeans. They also advised solid colors but they also said not to do white. I know I've also read not to do white unless the child has dark enough skin to contrast. Dunno...I think it would look cute but I'm just passing along what the photo booklet said.

That's good to know! I'll have to look into that... they never send tips home like that... I was just going by pictures I've seen friends get done... but i guess those are usually done outside in natural light, so maybe with a flash white doesn't work

I put Mason in a blue button-down shirt and khakis. Totally looked like he was going to work at Blockbuster. ;)

LOL!  I know, I know.  I didn't even think of it because it was pretty warm that week, but then I saw another kid in Mason's class in a sweater vest and I was totally bummed.  :)

Andrew wore an old washed out green shirt, grey shorts, and sandals. He's really...stubborn about what he wears. All his grey shirts (his favorites) were in the laundry, he has decided he hates blue shirts, and won't wear anything that isn't plain. If he had his way, he'd wear plain grey shirts and shorts everyday. Like we're in a Communist country and there are no choices available. I much prefered it when he would wear Batman everyday.

Our kids have to wear school uniforms for the fall pics, then in the spring they take pics again wearing anything they want.

My kids' school pictures were a couple weeks ago. We just got the proofs back on Tuesday.

The kids wore solid color polo shirts--yellow for Henry, royal blue for Mark--and shorts.

It's just a head-shot (for the yearbook) so pants were not an issue. Both of their pics came out great.
