i found this recipe online a few days ago. i made it tonight and it was pretty yummy and a nice change. kristi, erin, amber, etc - if you want to weigh in on how this might fit with medifast, i'd appreciate it. fyi - i bought all of the ingredients as sodium-free (even the chicken bouillion) so i could control my sodium.
5oz cubed cooked chicken breast 1 cube chicken boullion 1 cup water 1/2 cup stewed diced tomatoes 1/4 cup green pepper 1 tsp diced onion (i did use a little more of this - maybe 1 tablespoon?) 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp chili powder 1/4 tsp ground cumin dash ground black pepper
saute peppers & onions in 1 tsp olive oil or pam
combine water, boullion, diced tomatoes, onions and green pepper and bring to a boil.
add chicken, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes
add all remaining ingredients and enjoy (i let mine sit on low on the stove for about 15 minutes for the flavors to come together)
I get all confused with these recipes. I thought we could only have 3 condiments per day? Are the seasonings condiments? This is where I get all confused.
I am just starting, so I am eager to learn what works.
How is it going for you? What are you eating the most of?
