Lucas wears a uniform to school (like in my siggy that is a year old) They can wear red or white polos. Khaki or black bottoms. Last year he hated wearing white shirts so this year I just bought red shirts and khaki bottoms.
So that he has a choice he does get to choose his bottoms.... either shorts or pants then the next question is belt loops or no belt loops. If pants have belt loops then the kids are required to wear a belt.
He also picks which undies and which shoes to wear. Getting dressed during the school week is super easy.
We have battles on the weekend over what to wear mostly it is over weather appropriate clothes. (He'll want to wear pants and long sleeves in 95* weather or shorts when it is freezing)
Charlie's a breeze. Easy to dress. (It's the other little beast that I have to worry about ;) ) He normally doesn't like pants with buttons or zippers but other than that, easy. (If I can find something to fit. He's so long and lean and he seems to outgrow things so quickly).
We've been going to daycare all along so mornings are not different for us at all.
We just get dressed in the morning after breakfast and if all goes well, they can watch 15-30 mins of tv.
If no uniform, do they pick out their own school clothes themselves each day?
Do clothes get picked out the night before? That morning? Is getting dressed a battle?
We have uniforms. White or navy polos, khaki or navy pants/shorts. Getting dressed is a non-event; we put out a clean uniform together the night before so she knows exactly what she'll have on in the morning.
as part of our new kindergarten routing, Ethan picks out his clothes the night before (no uniforms, just his regular clothes) and mostly gets himself dressed. (some mornings he just won't move and I have to help if he is going to make the bus.)
No uniforms here either. I pick out Aubreys clothes the night before so when she gets up we don't play "what should I wear today" like we used to. She is big on dresses normally but I refuse to let her wear them to school, mostly because she has a hard time remembering to keep her legs together....and most of her dresses from the summer are too short now anyway.
No uniforms... I pick out Hannah's clothes in the morning (usually)... She rarely argues with what I pick out, since she's a zombie the first 10 minutes or so that she's getting up and ready.
Dominic does not have a school uniform and he does not care what he wears, I pick everything out the morning of after he takes a shower, I guess it is kind of good because he is one of the best dressed in his class!

Lucas is not super picky about clothes, he will sometimes request a certain shirt which is no big deal unless it isn't clean LOL. I need to get better at picking everything out at night because then he can just dress himself when he gets up (he is usually up way before me) instead of me rushing because I couldn't drag myself up.
i have been checking the weather the night before and laying his clothes at the end of his bed. in the morning he has to get dressed before he gets breakfast. otherwise he feels rushed to eat. this way he can eat as slow as he wants as long as he is ready to leave the house by 8:25.
No uniform for Joe. He loves to wear jeans and a 'pocket shirt' (proper button shirt) so if he gets himself together he will just go pick one of those. If I manage to get myself enough together first I will pick a teeshirt and shorts for him and he doesn't usually complain.
I dress her in shorts and a t shirt usually. : )
We're the opposite, Nicole. : ) I want Addie to wear her dresses and skirts to school because she has so many cute ones that rarely get worn otherwise. So, she wants to wear shorts and a t-shirt, and I am like, "You can wear that when you get home. For school, you're wearing these nice clothes that are going to waste." haha!
(I still have both of my girls wear underwear covers when they wear dresses and skirts. We have a huge stash of them from sizes 18-24 months to 5T. The little ones still fit because they were designed to fit over a diaper. They just find a coordinating color to their outfit, and that solves the problem of underwear showing. :))
Oh, and we pick out the clothes in the morning. I give two or three choices, and it's not usually a big deal. (It was a battle (even with choices) when Addie was 3, but she's much better now.)
Clothes are picked out the night before. I check the weather for the next day (crucial this time of year) and put the clothe out accordingly. Gavin does have some preference so he is able to do something different if he really wants to. Typically we pick the outfit out together though and i give him a choice of two different shorts or pants and then he usually gets to pick the shirt. His closet is organized so that one side has shirts that are good for school and the other is just kind of weekend (not as nice/cute LOL) shirts so he chooses from the school side.
I just pick Owen's out. He requests sometimes - usually his Toy Story shirt - and that is no biggie. They either get dressed in their room or bring their clothes into my room and get dressed on my bed while they watch their one morning show. They are super easy. I don't know how I got so lucky. I was a nightmare in the morning. Still am actually.
No uniforms here either. We pick out clothes the night before. Usually I just ask Anna to pick out what she wants, but if she doesn't match (and she often doesn't), I make her switch. Or I will tell her that something isn't right for the weather.
With Kate, we pick out clothes too-she likes to have say, but I try to give her 2 choices and let her pick from that.
They both get dressed on their own in the mornings. We usually don't have battles aside from shoes. Kate always wants to wear the wrong types of shoes for wherever she is going.
I love uniforms. When my DS had them I got 5 shirts and 5 pants in the same color and that was his clothes for the week. He never cared about clothes
Raven school doesn't have uniforms. I usually pick out her clothes. Sometimes the night before but most of the time in the morning. She doesn't care about clothes either.
no uniforms here. rachel and i usually are in total agreement about clothes, so choosing outfits is not hard here. we do it the night before. today she wore lavendar capri leggings with a darker purple skirt and a pale yellow tee with a sequin mermaid. that's a pretty standard style outfit for her. she wont wear dresses so i dont buy them. she has none in her size right now.
cara's a major "fashionista" (she comes up with some super funky stuff) and in general i let her choose her clothes too, but it's been hard to get her out of the tutus for preschool.
No uniforms here. I always pick out Mason's clothes in the morning because 1) John puts him to bed at night and he would never remember to help Mason pick out his own clothes, and 2) Mason doesn't care what he wears and 3) it's one less battle I have to endure in the morning.
He always resists when it's time to get dressed, but he's getting a little better at it. Jeans are tricky because he still can't figure out snaps or buttons (gotta work on that).
no uniforms here either. i pick out her clothes the night before and I will ask her what she wants to wear from a couple choices, depending on the weather. she has pretty much been wearing dresses and skirts (which I LOVE).
