Can you please keep Allison and Joe, as well as his sweet mother in your thoughts and prayers...
Joe's mother has stage 4 lung cancer, and there is no treatment available since she has only one lung from when she had it 17 years ago. They are doing a surgery today to put in a stint so that they can try to drain the remaining lung and help her breathe. She had some relief through an outpatient procedure not too long ago, so I'm hoping that she finds immediate relief like she did then, although I hope it keeps her happy and healthier for a bit longer than that did.
Please say some thoughts and prayers for her Joe as today is also the u/s day for the baby, so I know he's completely torn on a roller coaster of emotion between getting to see the baby, and what's going on with his mom.
The surgery went fine and hopefully the stint will improve and possibly extend what little time she has left. They won't give us a time because she has been beating the odds for damn near 20 years but it is terminal and aside from a miracle there is nothing they can do to cure her. At this point we are all hoping she makes it to see Sox. I know MS prayers are pretty powerful and would be so greatful if you can continue to pray for her and her husband and sons who really aren't sure how they are gonna handle her being gone.
