lol-yes, that definitely could be the pregnancy too!! But I do get the joint pain something fierce. I hope it isn't too bad for you once you taper down again.

What is the taper plan from here?

you know IM not sure. When I called they told me to do the last effective dose for two weeks. I assume from there Id go down to 10 and then 5 again. But I dont see her for about 3 weeks so Ill probably be on 10 when I see her again.

Hmmm...that is a big jump down. When I tapered (granted, I was on a higher dose and had been on them for a long while), I tapered down by 2.5mg/week once I hit 20. So I did 20, 17.5, 15, 12.5, 10, 7.5, 5, 2.5,off. It took forever, of course-8 weeks. But I didn't have any problems with it.

I would at least drop to 15 rather than going from 20 to 10. Then maybe you could go down by 2.5mg increments until you get off. IDK. But I know a lot of people have had issues with flares coming back when they tried to taper too fast, just to end up at a higher dose again.

Something to think about.

Also, are you taking all of yours in the morning or are you splitting the dose? Most people do take them all in the AM, but if you are finding mornings are a problem, you could try splitting the dose. It will affect your sleep some though, but might reduce symptoms in the morning.

my pills are 10 mg. So Im pill cutting to the 5. I think cutting them to 2.5 increments would be tough. I may do 20 to 15 though this time. Ill only have about 10 pills left when I see her so Ill have to see. Im sure shed give me more if needed but doesnt like to use it in the third trimester if unneeded because it will make the baby bigger I guess.

I took 5mg pills.  You could call and see if they would call in a rx for those if you wanted-it would make things easier, that is for sure.  And while I know getting off of it quickly is always best, sometimes slowing down the taper helps to get you off faster.

I hope you can get off of it without any issues this time.  I really hated being on that stuff!!

Phew. I finally finished the photo book and ordered it!

Now I can go get ready for bed.

I am looking forward to tomorrow, actually.

Kate and I don't have to go anywhere, so we can just come home after dropping off Anna, and she can be my helper.

I have lots of chores to do tomorrow.

It has been a long week. I swear that with this new schedule, I have less time than I did before. I am constantly on the go and running people around!!
