Well I have given Dominic Miralax for 2 days now, half capfuls and he only went a little bit yesterday and nothing since. If you were me would you take him the ER?

Yes, I really think it's time. You don't want to look back and say "I wish I would have...".

I read the other thread but by the time I did, it seemed like it was clearning up. It would really be 20 days now right? I think you should take him in.

GOOD LUCK!!!

I would totally take him. It's coming up on 3 weeks, wow! Good luck, and I know he'll feel better once they help him out! And you'll be able to let go of that worry and feel better too.

Well took him the ER and they did an x-ray and blood work and he doesn't have a blockage but he does have alot in there, not enough for them to do anything drastic though. He told us to give him 1/3 bottle of Magnesium Citric and 1 tsp. of mineral oil so I am going to give it to him tommorow and then start giving him Benefiber everyday and up his water intake and try to get him to eat more fruits and veggies, I explained everything to him so hopefully he will be more willing to try them. I feel better know that I know he is ok, I was really freaking out, I don't care about the money, I will just make payments on it for the next 10 years.

Oh good. I'm so glad everything is ok and that you had him seen.

I hope this treatment works.

i'm glad he's ok.

on the payments - check with the billing department. almost every hospital around here has a program for unisured or underinsured where they will write off some or all of what you owe depending on your family size & income.

I know that hospital bill won't be fun.  :(

Has your doctor talked about possible reasons for his constipation?  Has he been tested for Celiac disease?

No, nobody has ever been able to give me an answer as to why he has the chronic constipation, I am totally changing his diet when this comes out, I just gave him a second teaspoon of mineral oil and he still hasn't gone! Seriously how much stuff can you put in a little body until the damn poop comes out?!
