Joe is home.  They had early release today so I'm letting him watch Tom & Jerry.  I'll probably regret it cause I know I am going to hear about it for the next few days about how he wants to stay home from school just so that he can watch T&J.

Lucy - np. Anytime you want me to talk you out of something, I'll be there for you.

Tracy - Sorry you keep getting stuff added to your to-do list. You should take a nap. Plus I'll stop pitching my fit. Just for you.

I go to the movies about 3 times a year since having kids so I tend to save it up for when there is something that I really want to see. I used to go at least once a week. My friends and I were never bar/pub hopping types so the movies were a good option.

What is everyone having for dinner? I feel like I am lacking originality lately and am getting super bored with food. You would think that would translate into me losing some weight, but no alas it doesn't.

We're having ham, mashed potatoes (or baked if I feel too lazy to peel and chop), rolls, and . . . ? Broccoli  maybe.

Mark requested that I go to the store and buy carrots but we don't have any today.

Tracy, I do that too. Get a second wind after the kids are asleep that is. Usually it is just that I don't want to waste the alone time by sleeping. I seem to get a lull in energy around 2pm but am terrified of sleeping through the time i'm supposed to pick Joe up from the bus so I never take one, even if Bel is asleep.

Just asked Joe what he wants to have for dinner, spaghetti. Looks like pasta again.

Ham and mashed potatoes sounds yum. I need cold weather for some comfort food.

my kids threw 88 diapers around the room while I was napping. Oh well nbd.

I woke up to scissors by my hair. Um no. I apparently told K in my sleep she could cut it. Umm luckily she hadnt touched it yet. Remind me no more napping with just the kids here.

Mark is being psycho.

First he was whining and complaining because I wouldn't let him make popsicles out of kool-aid.

Just now he ran into the kitchen wearing a pirate hat and carrying a sword.

When I looked at him and smiled, he yelled, hid, then screamed, "Dumb mom!"

Sigh.

Sounds like bedtime.

If I woke up and discovered that my kids cut my hair, I'd have to take a sabbatical--a really long one, far, far away from here.

That way my kids would be safe.

What was in your chicken spaghetti? It sounds good in theory because I like chicken and I like spaghetti noodles.

But one time after I had Henry, someone brought us dinner--chicken spaghetti--and it had pimento cheese in it. It was sooo gross.

Speaking of good recipes, I made the Hillbilly Housewife snickerdoodles yesterday. They were so easy and very yummy. Both my kids liked them.
