that's great Lizzy! It's so freeing to take back control of your life this way. You are going to feel so good and healthy.
Also MF put's all the vitamins and nutrients in their meals so you don't even have to take a multivitamin on this diet. It's nice they aren't trying to push their vitamins on you like so many other diets do.
I like knowing if I eat what they tell me I'm getting everything I need. I'm way healthier doing this than any other thing I've done.
This was November 2009 in SAn Antonio and then again a couple weeks ago. I was wearing the same shirt and thought holy cow, this shirt was stretched to its limit before, and now is super loose.

Mine are not the most awesome comparison wise. We had a massive hard drive crash and I lost all my weekly progress pics such a bummer. But these are pretty close to my journey. The before is from an early msbl where I was very close to or over 170 and the pretty current is me at around 151 or so. I started in May at 172.3 and i've been off plan for over a month looking to restart very soon here to get to goal :)
This is the best diet in the whole world! I started at 185 and got to 145 in no time.
When I go off of the diet I fluctuate between 145 and 150, but don't just start gaining like crazy or anything.
April, you will find that everyone's tastes are different, so don't be discouraged if you don't like some of the stuff that other people said they do. Also, just because you don't like something the first time you try it, after you've been on the diet for a while you may find you like it.
On the bars, the only ones I like are the smores and cinnamon roll. I was sure I would just love the others and now I have a ton that I'm just trying to choke down.
There is a trick to cooking everything, so if it didn't turn out right the first time, just figure out the right way. Kristi has great tips on the stuff she's going to email you. Almost all the food tastes better if you soak it first.
Also, if you try the 4 and 1 and don't lose, then try the 5 and 1. If my calories go too far below 1000 then I stall out every time. I lose tons more when I stay the on the higher end of the scale. Everyone's bodies are different so just play around until you find what works for you.
The first 4 or 5 days are absolutely the hardest, but trust us when we say once you hit the 5 day mark, you will be amazed at how much energy you have and how you are never hungry. Truly amazing.
Go as long as possible before you ever cheat. Once you cheat the first time, it's so much easier to cheat the next time.
Good luck to those of you starting this. You will truly be amazed at the results. It makes me wonder if those that go the lap band route, knew about this diet first.
Chickie if you are interested in a trade for bars let me know what you have and I can let you know what I have that you might like. It's hard choking down the items you don't love. I have a pretty fair selection right now and I do like quite a few of the bars. Smores are totally my fav, I have to order some more.
i just placed and order for a month's worth of food for both me & dh.
that's a lot of money.
good news? they're shipping it all for $8 and change and the delivery estimate says 5-7 days. is that accurate?
i'm planning to start a week from tuesday.
Sara I am SO excited for you! The progress I had in one month made it SO worth every penny and then the more that I continued to spend. 5-7 is probably pretty accurate, mine is usually around there.
