REAL strange question LOL!

Every once in a while (most recent the garage a month back) I come across someone with a wandering eye.  Sometimes, like this recent one, it is so bad the eyes are going in like opposite directions.

so... i would like to look the person in the eye directly when i speak with them, thats only polite? no?

so... where do i look - into the eye that is most directly looking at me?  back and forth between the 2 eyes?

i usually get a bit flustered and end up looking at their forehead.  :blush

anyone know what i should do?

:dork

haha! I read it and had no advice.

That's awkward.

I guess I'd just focus on the one eye looking forward.

I look at the top of the left ear, top of the right ear, and the bridge of the nose, kind of non-nonchalantly. At best, it can't be detected, kind of like focusing on the center then the back corners of a room, when you give a speech so you aren't throw off by the awkwardness of making direct eye contact. At worst the leave going, "She had something wrong with her eyes! Wth? Where was I supposed to be looking, she was all over the place."

haha, I read but didn't know what to say! this is funny because I recently came across a person with a lazy eye, didn't know what to do, and ended up looking at their forehead hoping they couldn't notice...and I thought the exact same thing - what am I supposed to do?

look at the eye looking forward is probably the best thing

LOL, I've asked myself the same question!

There is a mom in my playgroup with a wandering eye and I just kind of look at the bridge of her nose or the eye that looks like it's looking at me.

i look at the one that's most focused on me.
i remember to this day, my kindergarten screening -- the woman who conducted the assessment had two lazy eyes. i was toooootally thrown (i had never seen this at age 5). i'll seriously never forget it. afterwards i told my mom "her eyes didnt look at me" (lol) and my mom kept saying "i dont know what you mean" - and eventually i was like, nevermind...lol!

Wouldn't you know the presenter we had today had a lazy eye! I couldn't help but think of you. ;) And I was all self conscious because I kept thinking about where I should look, LOL.
