My neighbor said that she was outside last night talking to another neighbor, then the DH of the neighbor who just had her baby came home, so they were talking, and then this drunk guy came up to them and out of the blue with no provocation got right in her face! When we went to see the baby today, Jack said he was going off at Mandy, then Mandy and the other gal went inside and Jack dealt with him, and he got into his face too. Then another neighbor came out, and this drunk guy yelled at him and called him the n word (he and the guy he was yelling at are black) and the other guy dropped his stuff and was ready to get into a brawl. The cops had been called by this point, but then the neighbor whose house this guy lives in (who is VERY nice-I think the drunk guy is his BIL) ran out and told him to get his drunk ass in the house. Drama!!

Gee, and I wonder why Bill doesn't want to raise a family around here, lol.

Oy vey. It is always something around here.

I'm concerned that because we live so close to the school that Lucas is going to be the last one picked up in the morning which might affect me getting to work on time.

Is there anyway you could drive or walk him to school?  Would that help at all?  Maybe you could take him a little earlier than the bus would pick him up?  IDK what the requirements were, but I know ours schools all have before and after care-not for extended periods, but there were kids who got to school maybe an hour before it started and they were in the gym/cafeteria until the bell rang. (supervised, of course)

If it appears that it's going to be a problem I am going to see how early he can get brought to school. He isn't on a regular bus so that is either gpoing to work for or against me LOL

I hope it works FOR you!!!

Well, peeps, I had better get moving. I am in charge of the broccoli salad for tonight's family picnic, so I have to make that, and then I have to attempt to fix my hair. It is starting to grow back in (yay!), so I have all these little hairs sticking up all over the place now. Hey-at least it is growing back in again!!!

I sat here and made my grocery list and printed out coupons. Then dh informed me he won't be home for supper. I am not in the mood to haul all those groceries in solo. Change of plans. I think E and I are going to go shopping for her friend's birthday present, eat at the mall and maybe have some ice cream. One more day on next to nothing to eat, but I guess we will manage.

Spent day with Kelly her dh and girls at the pool and beach. Yippee!

They just left and we will get together again.

Had such a great time - hope she liked me as much as I liked her!

Heya girls.

I have no idea where the day has gone, I have not gotten anything done. I overslept this morning, and Hannah got up at 10... Starting school next week is going to super suck for us.

ITKWYM.  Getting used to the new schedule when school starts is going to be rough.  My girls don't sleep in that late, but Anna slept until 8:20 this morning (rare for her, but she usually doesn't get up until 7:30-8) and school starts for her at 8:15, so we are going to need to be leaving when she is used to getting up!!

Couple that with a full day with no down time, and this girl is going to be EXHAUSTED.  She needs a lot of sleep-she might have to start going to bed earlier than 8pm!

I am NOT looking forward to it!

My intention is for Mark's school bedtime to be 7pm, and unlike you, I'm looking forward to it very much. ;D

If only Henry would go to bed and to sleep at a reasonable hour . . .

then Glen and I *might* get some alone time.

I am so hoping school pushes Lucas back to 7 or 730. I remember going to bed at 730 until I was like 8 years old LOL

Henry didn't want to decorate a cake for the contest at church.

I'm really surprised.

Glad too, though because I just slapped some frosting on it and had a nice big piece of cake to eat.

Yum.

This is the time I am going to be shooting for. Fingers crossed maybe it will help Faith's sleeping habits. (I'm moving hers as well. Not fair to have the younger sister stay up later.)

i just got back from costco with my 3 little ones and my parents.

the kids were really reasonably behaved until the end.

i can't believe it's only 4pm though....

it's gonna be a long night.

i think i'll give the kids dinner, bath, stories ....

i'm going to keep the tv off for the rest of the day.

i have to reorganize my kitchen & pantry. i have too much shit in too small a space.

Joe is a really active guy who needs to stay busy.

I never did anything with my bathroom so has decided to get down the wall paper border and paint etc.

He has gone to the hardware store around the corner (yes we still have one of those) two nights in a row right as I was ready to serve dinner.

Do you think he's telling me he's sick of my cooking already LOL

ugh, i just got a gigantic pamphlet of info/questionnaires to fill out from the pediatric neurologist that connor's pedi recommended for his probable adhd.

i was so not looking forward to an hour of paperwork tonight, but they won't book an appointment for evaluation until they receive all of the paperwork back.
