Robin it sounds like you are having a fun day. I, on the other hand, have done some exciting things like dishes and clean the cat boxes. Try not to be jealous. Seriously, I am impressed with how you can play with your kids. I do once in awhile, but have a hard time doing it for any length of time.

lmao. i think the exact same thing whenever robin posts. i am so not a imaginary play mom. i can do arts n crafts with the best of them and i can set up pretend play scenarios, but i suck at participating.

I can totally participate

For all of 5 minutes

Then I want to gouge out my eyeballs

i totally can relate.

this morning i stuck orange tissue paper in a bowl and told my kids it was a campfire. after they "roasted" some marshmallows i told them they should pretend to go to sleep. lol. i didn't mind participating in that part;)

a halloween party sounds fun! i adore planning parties.

we do a "spooky" dinner every halloween for my kids and their cousins, which is fun.

it doesn't involve any pretend play though so i am good;)

I told Mark this morning that there are lots of moms who DON'T play with their kids.

I don't think he believed me.

Somewhere in all the fun, I emptied and loaded the dishwasher. And folded a load of laundry. And put a small portion of it away.

GM! I really have to get work done today and I have a meeting in 15 minutes but I wanted to say hi.

LL, I think we should fix 5 and EJ up. They'd be bestest friends.

Ethan had a good day at school yesterday but EJ said he wouldn't go to sleep last night and complained about not having a nap. Which is funny because he used to complain that he had one. Figure it will take a couple of days for him to get used to it and then miraculously all our night time sleep issues will be solved. Right? Right? Someone say yes.

THis is what I'm hopeing for when Braxton starts school.

i have done a bunch of different things over the past few years... a few i remember off the top of my head--

green punch with gummy eyeballs/gummy worms, etc frozen into the ice cubes.

mummy hot dogs

clear plastic gloves filled with popcorn and candy corn for each fingernail.

I know I've told y'all before that I usually set a timer for play-time.

15, 20, 30 minutes.

We didn't have anything to do this morning so I just played until I got tired of the game, and Mark got distracted with TV and hunger.

Corey, I need to remember those ideas! I love the punch idea and the glove one I had heard about but forgotten. That will make an easy and great party favor! I might do a spooky dinner just for the family too.

Robin, you rock! But then again you do punish your family by making them have fun.

Elizabeth just got up and said her throat hurts. It's a little pink but could just be from allergies. I am thinking I might need to call and see if our friends still want to come over. Ugh!

Alicia, I sometimes find when it's been a long time since I have been alone, I have a hard time choosing what to do. The possibilities always seem so endless. lmao.gif

Why did we get netflix?LOL  There are so many shows/movies to watch.  I need to finish organizing/cleaning Raven's room which is hard to do when she is here.

Monday I start back with my volunteering at school.  I was in the school library all of last year but I'm thinking about volunteering in the room.

i can't believe how early everyone else's kids start school.

i also can't believe how many k programs are full day.

there are 8 elementary schools in my town and each has 3-4 half day k classes...they don't have the staff or space to make all the k kids go full day.

idt connor could handle full day quite yet anyways, so that is fine by me.

Our last day of school is May 25 unless we snow days.  This is the first year for full day k here.  They didn't have the room for full day until they moved in to the old middle school.

I know some of you may have read about this on Facebook but It is still bugging the heck out of me.

I've been on Pain meds since Last Oct for my back and ankle. Well these last few months Someone has been stealing these from me. Like 40-50 pills totally.

A few weeks ago I figuered out the common denominator to every time they came up missing. One of my REALLY Good Girlfriends of 10 years. I'm really worried about her since apparently she has a big problem. I didn't come out and blame her for it but I think she got the giff of it. Basically I have had to cut her out of my life. cry DH is so upset about it. She wasn't invited to The kids B-day BBQ and Jessie Says if she did come he would have to say something and kick her out. (He said he would even puff up his chest. LOL)

Well my problem is now that my BFF is kinda in a tight spot since she lives with this other girlfriend. I Feel I can't go over there anymore. And it is really accward  (SP?) when she says she is coming over to my house.

We were planning our trip to the fair and she actually had to count out the weekends to see if said friend would have her son so if she doesn't she won't come.

I am so hurt over this and am bumbed I put my BFF in this situation also.

There is soooo much more to this story but it gets REALLY Long.

We have full day K here also. Braxton will start on the 24th. So can't believe he is old enough for school.

I keep trying to picture him at school like a big kid and it bums me out.

I just keep trying to tell myself that he has a head up on the other kids since he has been in a elementary school for 1 1/2 years already.

i need to get my butt in gear and drag my kids to the town hall to buy a dump sticker.

it is $182. grrr.

last year's sticker expired june 30 and instead of renewing we decided to give trash pickup a shot.

after a month and a half i am done. the guy only comes once per week so if i decide to clean my fridge, etc at the beginning of the week the trash is disgusting by saturday.

plus he had a six bag per week limit and he also wouldn't recycle.

i would rather bring it myself.

Never heard of a dump sticker. If I had to transport trash myself it would get very disgusting around here.  I love having someone else pick it up.  Our is once a week but we almost never fill up the trash container.  They have a pathetic recycling program.
