This is what one bullet of our school's dress code says:
Insignias can be no larger than 3 inches x 3 inches. No graphics, pictures, or writing on clothing shall be permitted except as part of an insignia.
It's even bolded like that. So does this mean boys' shirts with big graphics are out of the question - like a shirt with a big dinosaur on it? I mean, most boys shirts are like this, just go to Old Navy or Children's Place. Am I right?
sounds like polo shirts are your best bet. old navy has plain colored ones fairly cheap. i'm not a big graphic person myself so i tend to only buy connor plain or striped old navy polos.
I would have to agree with everyone. I know when I was teaching that many schools adopted this policy because it made it more difficult for gang symbols and apparel and clothing with inappropriate graphics/words. You would think that in elementary grades this would not be an issue, but it is. I had fourth and fifth graders that were being recruited into gangs.

Ditto to this. Also, as I send K off to kinder, I wish her school had this rule. I would love an excuse not to have to even discuss buying any clothes with princess, dora or heaven forbid hannah montana on them. Im not looking forward to that.
Lucas' school has uniforms... he can't even have a little logo on them or insignia... they have to be plain button up collared shirts of polos and each school has different colors. I actually LOVE him having to wear a uniform makes it SOOO easy in the morning. Then they also have special days each month where they can wear what they want.
