Kiera starts on the 23rd. Full day- which is 9-3:45. (not as "full" of a day as daycare has been) After yesterday's convo, I looked into busing and it might be the best option for us. We are the last stop before school- she would get on about two houses down from us. I had to make a special request to have her dropped off at my moms in the afternoons. Its only 10 minues after school lets out, so it must be close to first on that route. they do not let kindergartners off the bus unless the autorized person is there to pick them up, so, Im feeling okay about it.

Joey just went to open a bank account.

I love that he is totally establishing himself immediately.

Kyle, Brenna, and Brittany start school August 16. Rebecca and Crystal start August 23. I'm not ready. Remind me again why I wanted to homeschool?

OMG and in other news

Travis showed up at my house at 7:30 this morning

Apparantly their electricity got turned off last night

This makes me LMAO because you have to not pay it for months before it gets turned off and Quint should have plenty of money to pay it. Basically he is just such a tool that he kept forgetting to pay it and he always blamed me for bills being behind. Every bill in my house is current/zero balance so he can definitely go eff himself.

Travis and Manuel will probably undestand each other.  Manuel will be 13 on September but secretly he thinks he is 32...

LMAO yup they would definitely get along

Sometimes it is hard to remember he is only 12 and I end up expecting too much. This is something I am working on being better about.

I can't because I am not supposed to know. Travis told me and then said and don't you dare tell him I told you he will kill me.

I can just grin privately biggrin

yeah... i know...
Manuel is the oldest and sometimes i feel i put to much pressure on him with his brothers.  But we also talk a lot and he lets me know when I'm going overboard and I let him know when he needs to step it up.

you have to pay for busing here unless you live 2+miles from school (which we luckily do).

It is free here. But there is a walk zone which is either 1.5 or 2 miles and if you are in that zone you are not eligible for bussing.

Ditto to Juni.  The walk zone here is 1 mile for elementary, 1.5 for mid, and 2 miles for h.s.

We are less then a mile from the high school too and they still dont have to walk. The bus doesn't have as many stops as other busses but there are still bus stops and busses available. Nikki used to walk all the time her freshman and sophmore year and then she started taking the bus just in the morning and her friend drove her home and then last year she always took the bus unless she had to stay after for something.

My kid is uber lazy LOL

We're off to swim at my friend's house.

We haven't been swimming there since the year before last.

She has boy/girl twins that are one year older than Henry.

Burt(on) and Rosie (Rosalyn).

Later!

Do kids need a 5 year check up?

Hmm, MOTY here. It occurs to me I never made an appt. for K.

I saw Robin's post about an eye exam. My friend just found out her 5 yr old is farsighted. She feels bad she was alsys really annoyed he would not identify letters she knew he knew.

Well, apparantly, he couldnt tell the dif between an R and a B on paper in front of him cause he couldnt see it.

Hannah's school does their initial hearing and vision screenings during orientation. They didn't do either of those at Hannah's well-check. Here, physicals and proof of shots are manditory to start kindergarten.
