I'm home from work.

My kids are animals.

I'm trying to convince Travis to go out and get me quarters for laundry since I forgot.

LL, matt is just relocating with his same company.

his job will change slightly, but his company is stoked he wants to be back here b/c they needed someone here.

we're still holding out hope that they offer him some kind of relocation package. if they do, we could lower the price on our house and get into an apartment here where we're all together.

any luck on a babysitter?

i'm not sure what your arrangement is with 5. if you found someone reasonable, would he split the cost with you?

i know he has travis and you have L, but it's not exactly fair in terms of childcare expense b/c travis doesn't ever need a sitter but L does.

I also asked the vice principal (in charge of textbooks) if I could get a set to keep at home.

She said yes; I just need to email her the request.

We're going to have an excellent 5th grade year.

I assume you have to pay for that?  Seems like a rgeat idea though!

*sigh* I remember when Henry was headed off to K.

Nope. I offered to buy them, and she said I could just "check out" a set for the year.

We're home from swimming with some friends.

Henry has an offer to go swim at John-David's house this evening so he wasn't too sad when we left the other pool after just an hour and a half.

Mark wanted to leave because he was hungry. As usual.

Poor kid didn't realize that there's nothing good to eat here.

I desperately need to go to the grocery store BUT my kids are so sneaky.

They never wear shoes when we go swim because they know they might have to go run an errand with me afterward. No shoes, no errand.

Little stinkers.

April - I'm glad you explained what was happening.

I was completely in the dark.

The tutoring gig sounds really great.

I hope Matt can get here asap and that your house sells quickly.

Our court order is that he has to pay 47% of any childcare costs.  I am willing to bet I would have to actually go to court to enforce this.

Yup it's very hard to get and because I only need care for a month it will be almost impossible. I'm not writing it off though.

I talked to my boss and she is good with cutting my days back for the month. I just really wanted that money.

and does the program only cover long-term care?

He was trying really hard to make me fail.  That got pretty impossible once Joe came into the picture.  He doesn't think I deserve child support either but he does pay it.

I don't know LOL

Everyone I know that has it has kids that need daycare everyday.

My job is flexible enough that I can be off if Lucas has a day off or Trav can watch him for one day.

I'm still in denial about the baby going to daycare cry

LL, go ahead and apply. It does not mean you have to use it, but it does mean that it gives you options. You might find that reconsidering how you juggle work and Lucas might actually help you even more. You might be surprised, plus you never know. They might have some other option or an alternative program that better suits your needs.

I have only seen the first Toy Story. Elizabeth is working on filling up her marble jar so she can buy either a Woody or a Slink. I am really wanting to see the other two Toy Story movies now, but doubt I will take her to the last one. I have heard it is kind of depressing and disturbing to some little kids.

My kids and I really enjoyed Toy Story 3.

There is a part where the toys come really close to their demise but it went right over my kids' heads.

Especially Mark's.

Well we went to registration for the third time a little while ago.

Henry wanted to see his teacher from last year.

He also wanted to see his class list for this year but his teacher wasn't working this afternoon so he couldn't see the list.

Oh, well.

You cannot just apply for it. You have to have daycare in place. It's one of the most ass backwards state programs we have.
