IRRITATED.

I just called Glen at work to:

1. see if he left to come home yet.
2. tell him that we were going to go ahead and register Henry, then come back home to wait for the paperwork for Mark.

He WAS still at work even though he told us he was leaving the first time I talked to him, an hour ago.

And now that he thinks we're going to register Henry, he won't hurry and I realized that I don't have the papers I need for Henry either.

Aaaaargh.

I've already called him 3 times in a row; I hate bugging him at work.

I'm taking his safe key when/if he gets home so I can go make a copy of it.

I also have no idea at all what I am doing about a baby sitter for Lucas for the rest of the summer.

I cant have travis do it every day. My dad really can't/doesnt want too (Lucas is too much work for him I guess :eyeroll:) I can't afford to pay someone. Quint has a ton of vacation/personal days but he isnt gonna help.

*sigh*

I don't know what is available there, but when I was a single mom, the united way where I lived had a preschool/daycare that had a sliding scale fee.  It wasn't too bad.  Was it the very best there is to offer? No, but it wasn't a bad place for my ds to be either.  He really liked being there.  Check and see if maybe there is something like that there.  You may continue to need it after the baby comes.

One problem is I don't drive so where I can take him is very limited. I don't even know the going babysitter rate to see if one of Nikki's friends can help out.

And please don't talk about daycare and the baby. My kids have never gone to daycare and it is totally killing me that this baby is going to have to. I'm kind of hoping I can work out some kind of work at home part time thing or bringing the baby in with me for a little while.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of Lucas.  It would be great if you could find something that allows you to work at home.  Does Joe's new job have him working a set schedule?  It will be so nice for you to have him there and it sounds like he is pretty helpful.  I bet once he gets there and you see how the routine goes it will pretty easy to figure out everything.  Are you still looking at a car or are you waiting awhile.  It's such a catch 22 because if you don't have one it is really limiting.  But if you do have one, the cost to keep it is there.

Robin, can you go to his work and just get the key? That would make me bonkers!

Jenn, I am glad you back is on the mend. I hope it continues.

I didn't really think of that.

We could have already been there and back.

It's a good 30 minute drive each way.

Hmmm . . .

Ahhh gotcha. There is a sliding scale after school program that I may look into for Lucas.  It's just hard because he needs constant supervision.

Joe's schedule is pretty set at 9-5 at least for now. We are def looking at trying to get a car still.  He can take the bus to work but it adds so much time onto his work day that I want to be able to at least pick him up. I'm hoping my parents can help out too since he is working in between their house and mine and my mother works in the town I live in.

I cannot wait for him to be here and us to have a routine and "normal" life.  I am kind of nervous but so excited.  I asked him what he wanted me to get to make him for lunch for work and his jaw dropped that I would make him lunch. Apparantly no one but his mother has ever done that.  We are going to be so happy biggrin

my o/b tested me to see if I am a carrier for Fragile X

I have been waiting weeks for it to come back.

I called yesterday and the person that answered the phone acted like I had no right to call and ask if it was back but said she would check and get back to me.

She didnt.

I will be calling back in a little while.

we registered back in April.

our school is one of the two best in the city so everyone in Hfx wants in. We had to show a pile of things as proof of address.

people rent apartments for the year just to get the right address. loonytoons!

Gm girls.

I don't want to go back to school tonight. I just got to know the other teacher, and the class was over, lol. Oh well.

It's raining here, and that is no bueno for my mood. I've got a shiz ton of stuff to do before Hannah's party, I have school every night until Friday, and then plans Friday afternoon and into the evening, so I'm going to be running around like crazy at night, lol.

April, keep your head up girly - things have come together wonderfully, so you can't lose sight of that.

LL, I glanced at your ticker and thought it said, "Baby is busy making wine" (where it says urine)... I thought, "That's my kind of baby." Then I realized I was wrong, and now I'm drinking a coke zero to wake up, lol.

Baby is gonna be making wine this weekend LMAO

I am going to buy a bottle to have in the house so I can have a glass here and there. (Like this weekend to celebrate Joe moving in)

Dyk that when Joe and I moved in together, we made our own wine out of Hawaiian punch?

Did I mention we were effing broke, lol?

That doesn't really have anything to do with anything, but now I'm thinking I need to do that again. Or, you know, I could just spend the $9 on my favorite bottle. I love having cheap taste, lol.
