okay - only "younger" generation this might be slightly understandable is a struggling college student heading back to school after the weekend wanting to take some goodies back to the dorm.

we all work, we all struggle, we all pay bills, we all buy groceries.

people irritate me.

and I'm easily irritated these days.

Corey, I think I'm coming tomorrow to kick some azz.  It would help you and it would rid me of some pent up aggression!

shoot me now.

I just got home from running errands.

Jake's drink from lunch still sitting on kitchen table.

Kate picks it up and drinks it.

not an issue if Jake didn't have strep freaking throat.

Oh, no.

That stinks.

Maybe she won't get it too.

I'm going to a Sunday school party this evening.

It's a swimming party at my friend Claudia's house.

The kids and I swim there all the time but this party is for adults only.

I really want to swim but I doubt many people will swim.

People are weird about that.

I need to make a casserole to take.

not older, younger, married, no children.

i think they think we are the slightly older therefore wealthy (ha! as if) couple and they are just starting out, thus somehow justify cleaning us out.

My sil (Glen's sis) had the strangest notion that Glen and I were wealthy because we bought a house when we got married.

She would ask us to borrow money and stuff.

We were the opposite of rich because of our house payment.

She's older and wiser now (and a house-owner) so she knows better.

We have leftover spaghetti and leftover grilled chicken w/peppers.

I bet a gazillion dollars that Glen takes the kids out to McD's or somewhere for dinner.

will glen go to the swimming party tonight, robin?

i wouldn't care if other people were swimming...if it is called a swimming party then by all means you should be able to swim!

now, if it was a cocktail party and they happened to have a pool that would be entirely different.

i suppose i should go start dinner.

i don't want fussy mccrabby daddy to be pissed when he gets home from work.

I am proud of myself. I was able to save over $25 on the regular kellogg fiber bars. I know these bad boys are not for everyone, but for those of us that have a child that needs lots of fiber, it's a very good thing. Well, my dh likes them too. I am not anywhere near all of you coupon saver shoppers, but I am making little steps there.

I am also going to be buying an hind quarter of beef for $2.32 a pound, which includes butchering, wrapping and labeling. That is a huge savings for us and it includes lots of steaks and nicer cuts of meat. Granted we have to buy a freezer, but I have a feeling between this and being able to freeze seasonal fruit and veggies, we will save what it costs in not time.

i need to know about these.

my girl needs serious fiber!  Things just do not seem to move naturally for her.

No, Glen doesn't swim nor does he party.

He got to stay home with his kids.

It was a pretty small group at the party. [I'm home now.]

7 out of the 8 people got in the pool, and the 7th person sat on the edge with his feet in the water.

I've been dosing Henry up with Miralax over the past couple weeks.

I was really hoping to use this summer to get him regular but as usual, the days got away from me.

Kris, they are kind of like a granola bar and the bottom is covered in chocolate. Elizabeth thinks she gets to have candy bars. They have lots of chocolate in and over it too. If you have a nut allergy, these won't work. It does seem to help but be warned, it can make them gassy until they are a little used to it. Here is the link and there is a $1 off coupon. It will only let you print one, but if you hit the back button on your computer you can print it one more time. Then after the second printing, there is a thing that you can get a coupon for $2 on two boxes.

what book, robin?

idt i have read anything since we all read eat, pray, love.

i am looking forward to the movie.

i am happy that julia roberts is playing elizabeth (atleast i think that is the writers name).

well i should go get my party errands done while baby's tummy is still full.

lets cross our fingers i don't get pulled over with my expired license en route.

especially since the police station is around the corner from i party.

Don't do it(I know I'm too late)!  I was stopped for having a light out and my license was expired.  He wasn't going to let me drive but I didn't have anyone to come get us(Raven was in the car).  He made me feel like I was out drinking and driving or something like that.

He sounds like he was on a big powertrip.  Perhaps he was compensating for a body part that was too small.

luckily i drive like an old lady apparently b/c i have never been pulled over.

basically half of the state of MA probably have expired licenses right now.

the rmv ALWAYS sent a reminder/application in the mail until recently.

unfortunately they didn't let anyone know they were no longer sending reminders, so alot of people have forgotten to renew.

i would have realized earlier (my bday was in january) except the only reason i ever pull my license out is to buy alcohol, since i was pregnant i didn't look at it until yesterday.

Morning!

We're getting ready for church.

This afternoon we have a thing at church for the end of a read-a-thon.

I lost our read-a-thon forms (twice) so I'll have to improvise.

Hardly anyone participated and I was one of the people in charge, so I need to have my kids fill out something.

My mom was the only person who said she'd sponsor them.

After the reading thing, I have a women's Bible study.

I was going to try to squeeze in some swimming with the kids but I don't know when.

Kimberly and I haven't gone to the movies on a Sunday evening in a REALLY long time.

She's been out of town or I've been out of town or one of us had a family-thing or there's been nothing playing at the theater.

Maybe we'll go tonight.

Woo-hoo!!

I just checked the movie listings, and there are THREE movies out that look good.

"The Kids are All Right"

"Charlie St. Cloud"

"Dinner for Schmucks"

I hope Kimberly is available to go.
