Birthday Ideas for 3 year old girl

I'm needing some ideas for Ms. Kate for her birthday.

I have my mom getting her an adorable bean bag chair that looks like a real chair for her room that will be so cute in her room.

My mother in law is getting her a cleaning cart with a work vacuum, mops, dusting stuff, etc.

What are some other ideas I can give people?  I'm at the point where I don't even want her to get gifts b/c our house is so full of toys!!!  But obviously that is not going to be fun for her!

I do know I'm going to suggest craft supplies to someone b/c she loves to paint, do playdoh, etc.

Kris, what about some kind of lessons from a grandparent, etc?  Dance, gymnastics?

I'm not sure if she is heading to preK this year, but my aunt got Tristen an adorable school in a pack.  Basically, she got a backpack and stuffed it with all things school, as well as some coloring and craft stuff.  He loved it.  Alternately, you could do school in a bag with clothes?

Maybe a cute little apron with a certificate for mommy (or gramma, etc) time to make a cake and cookies together?

When Hannah turned three is when she really turned the corner into all her current obsessions (which is great because I've completely gotten my money's worth) - LPS, Strawberry Shortcake playsets, disney princess polly pockets, Ponyvilles. But those are all toys, lol.

Like Jenn mentioned, we asked for Joe's mom for a class this year. She wasn't huge on the idea at first, but then we pitched it as their time (meaning, she drove her to and from a majority of the time. Score for me.) and let her pick from a list of things that Hannah was interested in... She ended up finding this unknown horse camp, and Hannah had an amazing blast. But we also suggested karate, dance, or gymnastics, so any of those would have thrilled Hannah.

I'm with you on the toy thing. Hannah's gotten a few from us, but I've all but begged my mom to just get her clothes for school. I'm all about the crafts, too. Joe's sister got Hannah a huge bag of craft stuff yesterday, and it's something that she'll use for a while (quietly) so I'm pretty excited about the basic stuff like that, lol. Unfortunately most of our friends do not want to be the one to get the practical stuff (like clothes, lol... which Hannah loves, but not as much as toys) and so I can give ideas until I'm blue in the face, but they want the "OMG!" face, so they'll buy toys whether I want them to or not.

I knew this age was when the polly pockets, etc. could be gifts for her.  I'm still worried about her putting some of that teeny tiny stuff in her mouth!  Maybe I will make those pitches for x-mas.   She just makes me not trust her yet as far as not swallowing some things!

I need to look into those extracurricular things to see what's available to her.  She did do a Kindermusik program but it was during daycare hours so I didn't get to go and/or see what she was doing but they said she LOVED it!  I'm thinking dance or gymnastics (John's sisters were HUGE into dance when they were little).

You have some great suggestions. Another idea is a magazine subscription. Elizabeth loves My Big Backyard but there are lots of others too. If you want to go fun but practical, look into some really fun clothes like twirl skirts that are really twirly, shiny sparkly shoes, jewelry she can wear for "special occasions" like church, and the fun custom made hair bows. If you are not familiar with etsy, you need to be. They have tons of things for girls on there.

I LOVE etsy but haven't been on there in quite awhile.  I think some twirly skirts might be perfect!!  And some necklaces!
