My girls are playing upstairs and I am in the basement. Thankfully they are playing pretty well right now.

I wonder how big of a mess they will have made when I get up there?

I'm getting ready to start my bookshelf makeover.

I'm looking for a white bookshelf for Kate's room but no luck yet.  It will replace her changing table.  I'm also thinking of putting one in Jake's room.  This will remove all children's books from our main living area and I can then put nice framed photos on the built in shelves.

I have a list. I need to consult it and see what is next on it to do.

I know there is some cleaning on there-the powder room and the wood floors. I should do that.

We are having hamburgers for dinner tonight. I like that my ILs make them into patties (not all of the ground beef, of course), so I just have to defrost them and grill them.

My parents swear that my IL's beef tastes better than store bought-IDK. I am so used to it, I never think about it anymore.

This morning, I was getting something out of the fridge and the egg carton came out, and the eggs fell. Thankfully there were only 3, but they were Super eggs, so I felt guilty about it. Did I tell you all that the chicken's egg production really fell after they fed them some of Anna's birthday cake?

Who gives birthday cake to chickens anyway?

My mom and dad were disappointed because they were enjoying the free eggs. They like to take advantage of my IL's food-so they usually ask me to snag stuff for them. It gets old, I have to admit.

Kris that sounds nice!! Bill built a bookshelf for Anna's room and we painted it white. It is nice.

But I could have bought one and it would have been fine too.

You will have to take pics when you are finished with this project.

I asked John yesterday if he could make me one for Kate's room.  He said no, not right now.  He can, he just doesn't have the time.  He's working 15-16 hour days and has two huge restoration projects going on (which means dealing with the insurance companies, etc.) in addition to 2-3 other jobs.  He has no time for anything but work lately.

ITU-he does sound extremely busy.  That has to be hard on all of you!

And that was what bothered me most about it with Bill!  He said he would make one, and then a month later, it still wasn't done. I finally told him that I understood he was busy, but if he didn't find time to make this bookshelf within a 10 day period, I was going to Target and buying something.

It is nice, but seriously, I hate how long it takes to get things done.

it is going great! seriously, i know everyone is different, but 2-3 has been my easiest transition thus far.

i feel like i had already figured out the juggling thing of having two under two so adding a third was not that difficult.

it definitely helps that i had a super quick (although semi traumatic at the time) birth and felt fine after and that jamison is a really mellow baby and good sleeper. i am sure i would be singing a different tune if he was high needs.

LOL-ITTTTA.  I have such a hard time with this too!!!

Like right now, I really want a new iPod, but I don't need one, so I am trying really hard not to just up and buy one.  Bill would not be happy because everytime he wants to buy something, I say no-of course his are a motorcycle and a boat, but still.

It is killing me to wait!!!!

so fun! When are you going? EJ's parents didn't go this year so he's taking Ethan to NY later this week for a few days. They will be there for Ethan's birthday, which I'm not happy about but I couldn't really stop it.

I'm taking Ethan to Michigan next week. Very excited. I've never been to the beach up there. I'm a little nervous too because I'm not the best swimmer and neither is Ethan but I'm sure we'll be fine.

This is good to hear!!!  I am glad he is an easy boy, and glad you are doing so well with it.  I am hoping that if we are so lucky as to add a third, it will go smoothly as well.  High needs being the exception, I feel like I have the same thing-managing the girls in the beginning was rough rough rough, so if I can do a newborn and a 16 month old, I think I could do two youngsters and a newborn.  I felt like I was just surviving back then, kwim?  I didn't really have the chance to enjoy it.  With Anna, I was just nervous about everything, her being my first, then with Kate, I was trying to not jump off a cliff.  I feel like, unless we have a high needs baby, the 3rd time might allow me to enjoy the baby more.  I hope that is the case for you!!

Are the older two loving baby J?
