good morning, ladies!

i'm back at work today for the week and then off again next week.

so far 10 kids for the birthday party. my rsvp date was sunday but as there are still a lot of notices in the lockers, I expect to hear from some people today as they get back from vacation.

I had every intention of getting up and fixing breakfast for Glen and packing him a lunch for work.

April - Don't know if you've tried either of these methods with Jake and getting dressed:

1. Say, "Oh, no. I thought you were going to surprise me by getting dressed all by yourself, and I was going to be so happy!"

2. Treasure box with super-cheap stuff--like stickers, plastic rings, little cars--and letting him pick a treasure out of the box if he gets dressed by himself when he should. Every time or every 3rd time or whatever.

Both of these have worked with Mark.

robin, great suggestions, which made me wonder why i haven't tried a sticker chart.

maybe i can have a treasure chest of cars and when he gets a week's worth of stickers, he gets to pick one.

If you have not read the entertainment that is my facebook status from last night you should (*warning it is a tad dirty)

Leah is the funniest chick in the world seriously (except everytime I fell asleep my phone rang telling me I had a comment)

I am exhausted cuz we stayed up too late but it is so worth it. We do all our best talking in the wee hours.

He has an interview today and he thinks he would rather have this job then the other one so good interview vibes would be appreciated :)

I had big plans for science experiments today.

We'll probably still do them but right now Mark is making a stick puppet out of foam shapes, and Henry is playing Mario on his Nintendo.

At 9:45, my mom is coming to get us. We're going to Old Navy to get a few more pair of pants for Henry for school.

Mark is being all weird and whiny because his project isn't turning out the way he wants.

Drives me crazy.

My kitchen was a disaster when I got up this morning.

I've already emptied and reloaded the dishwasher.

I had lots of large items that needed to go in there--a big mixing bowl, 2 big serving bowls, a 9x13 casserole dish, my crockpot, my crockpot lid.

So I still have several plastic cups that wouldn't fit.

Chad made "slime" yesterday when the kids were being experimental with stuff in my kitchen.

They squirted it on each other outside but then stepped in it and tracked it through my kitchen.

Their slime consisted of water, sugar, and green food coloring.

So my floor is super-sticky now.

Blech.

I want to start a chart with K too. she really needs to see what she needs to do to be motivated and my mom just got her a bunch of stickers. Maybe Ill start that next week since this one is sooo crazy.
