Hmm,, boiling eggs, that's a good idea. I just wrote out thank you notes from E's birthday party a couple of weeks ago. I made her write her name on each one and that takes forever. At least it's finally done and better late than never.

LL, keep cleaning and maybe you will motivate me. giggle.gif

Perhaps another tini for monday?

Cleaned the mirrored wall that Lucas uses as his personal napkin and my table. Gotta vacuum that corner so I can put the stools back to the table.

Technically my house needs to be in really good shape by the time Joe gets here at 1am but tini's are always good.

When we first started dating he used to feel really bad throwing his bag and clothes in the corner because my house was so clean, now his stuff ends up mixed in with the rest of the mess.  Don't want him to think his domestic goddess is going soft just cuz i'm responsible for creating a life LOL

Oooh, motivate me too.

I'm in a hella funk.

Fo sho.

Anyways. I think it's cute that you don't want him to think you've gone soft. Instead of how I was where I thought, "Why did I ever do this stuff for him. Now he knows I can. Frickin' stupid!" lol.

My cat has been calling for like 20 minutes. I should let him in. I'm gonna be boss at my vet tech job, lol. Oy.

LMAO

When I moved my house was Domestic Diva worthy. I have since let it go and it is driving me crazy. I also know that he doesn't mind helping do stuff as long there isn't a ton of shit in the way (like my clothes all over the damn house)

Add to that I am trying to figure out how to fit another person in here LOL

I just cleaned out all my clothes from their side of the living room and folded them. Now I can put them away.

I should have taken before and after pics LOL

I need a ton of stuff at ikea I just dont have ikea $$

I'm eating egg salad on an english muffin listening to Lucas whine cuz his father isn't here yet.

I'm also trying to gauge how pissed Joe will be if I start moving furniture.  He will definitely yell at me for not waiting for him.

hi ladies!

i was feeling terrible last night and was up half the night - i don't know why.

I suspect it is because I crossed my 2 drink max for the day.

I had one beer early and two glasses of white wine later.

I was up half the night in the bathroom.

Blah.

BUT! My lovely husband got up with the kids and I got to sleep from 8:30 until 10:30.

I heart him.

I still have motivation but I am just about out of energy.

I almost have my living room back to the way it should be (totally spotless and ready for surprise guests LOL) and my kitchen is almost done.

I have 11 more hours before he gets here I think I def have time for a nap.

Hmmm the motivated part of me wants to finish the living room before I nap.

The tired part of me is saying screw that.

I definitely need to get rid of the other couch. (the one I originally had before I got the sofa bed) I never intended for there to be two couches in here and it would give me back so much space.

Tired is giving in. I'm gonna find something on Netflix and curl up on my couch.

I am doing things today but not in a logical manner, which is probably why my efforts don't pay off. lmao.gif I have:

emptied out and taken down the fish tank
dumped and cleaned out E's swimming pool
cleaned out and refilled her water table
picked up chewed toy bits and pieces on the deck
put batteries from the old bubble maker that doesn't work into the new one
argued with my daughter about wearing wet clothes in the house and won
I also put back in the packed closet the boxes and things my ds dug out and left laying

Too bad none of that really makes my house look better.

When I woke up, I heard Henry, Mark, and Chad in the kitchen.

"Now we just need to put some sugar in a paper towel, then fold it up. Then put it into this bag of water. Now step back and watch out!"

So I got out of bed.

Fortunately, Henry wasn't listening when they did that science experiment at VBS because the two components were baking soda and vinegar.

So instead of making a small explosion, they just made a wet sticky mess.

Hmm. Which one is better?

I have bbq ribs in the crockpot.

I was thinking I'd made baked potatoes with them but I have Bible study until 6 so it needs to be something much faster--like a can of green beans and some corn.

And tomorrow we'll have grilled chicken thighs. What should I marinate them in?

Yummy! Dale's.

I would use Dale's but we had grilled pork chops yesterday that I marinated in Dale's.

Also I have a cabinet full of bbq sauces and salad dressings that I got for cheap at Kroger.

Maybe I'll just close my eyes and grab one.
