and now i'm up.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

there is not enough coffee in the world this morning.

emily had me up early.

and as if that isn't bad enough after insomnia last night and a pee bed, aspen puked in my bedroom this morning.

awesome.

I totally agree re: coffee, especially because I am drink it half regular and half decaf. I think it defeats the purpose if I drink a whole pot.

I was also up in the middle of the night.

I got up at 4 to pee and had a headache and couldn't go back to sleep. I think I fell asleep atound 5:45. I know I saw the sun coming out.

I got woken up by Lucas at 7:30 but mercifully he lets me go back to sleep and he just watches t.v. (since I am in the same room anyway LOL)

Then I got woken up at 8:30 by Travis storming in to tell Nikki they were here to get them for church. Why the eff did him or 5 not text her??

I tried going back to sleep but Lucas was demanding breakfast at that point so now I'm up.

Not that I don't have other things to do, but I am seriously considering doing the better to ask forgiveness than permission approach and just dumping the junk all over Robert's desk into boxes. He wanted the bookcase we had in the kitchen in his office, so we took everything off of it and it is just sitting around. Granted there is a bunch of other stuff to do, but I really don't need help adding to clutter.

Good morning LL!

I hope your headache does not haunt you today.

What is with 5 going to church? Is he looking for forgiveness for being a jerk?

Well, not saying he shouldn't go to church, just didn't think he was that ambitious before.

Good morning!

So I suck; I admit right off the bat that I didn't read the last 12 pages of chat. I'm just jumping in and hoping someone talks to me, lol!

I'm drinking coffee and watching Weeds; super awesome Sunday morning when no kids are around.

I have a weird story and I'm hoping someone has thoughts.

So I have 2 light fixtures in my hallway, and each one has 3 weird little light bulbs in them. Over the last year, the light bulbs have been burning out one by one, until Monday, when the last one finally burned out.

Yesterday I was walking down the hallway, and out of instint flipped the switch to one of the fixtures, and all of the lightbulbs are working. So I checked the second fixture, and those are all back on, too.

I figured DH changed them, but he didn't. We both stared at them for the longest time last night, trying to figure out what happened.

As a longshot, I asked my mom (the only other person who has been in our house in 2 weeks), and she didn't change them. It actually doesn't look like they were changed; the fixtures are pretty dusty, and they have a couple of flies in the bottom (super gross, I know, but I was planning on cleaning them and changing the bulbs this week).

Has anything like this ever happened to anyone? I'm trying to find some reason why they would come back on (ie, the huge electrical storm we had this week or something). It's just weird that 6 different light bulbs, which burned out at various times over the past year, all came back on at the same time.

Thoughts?

LMAO

He started going to throw himself in Nikki's face. I went once and while he was wicked into it the whole thing seemed like an act.

He is now an usher, goes to bible study before, has Travis going (and seeming to enjoy it) and plans on getting both himself and Travis baptised.  This is an evangelical church I believe and while I have no problem with what he does I do not want Travis baptised. He would not allow me to baptise Travis catholic because he didn't believe in the catholic "way" and I don't necessarly think this is right either.

Joe is religious and wants to try to talk to Trav about how he feels about it and that it is his decision and not something he has to do for his father but I'm not sure that's a good idea.  Joe and I intend on finding a church we like once he lives here.  His mother is going to spaz though when she finds out we are not going to baptise the baby catholic.

This is probably way more then you wanted to know about my current religious struggles. Sorry. LOL

Hi Toni!!!!!!!!!!

Re: lightbulbs. I'm going with shorts in the individual lightbulb sockets.  Not sure what would have made them all suddenly go back on, could have been a bunch of stuff but I would have it looked it by an electrician.

The light fixture above my bed at my old house was below the upstairs living room and the kids upstairs used to jump around like mad and that did weird things to my lightbulbs.

Oh one more thing re:5 and church.

He usually takes Lucas. This morning he didn't and made a nasty comment via text about me not being able to sleep in.  He didn't take him because he had to be there early (8:30) to help the worship choir with their practice - he is helping with the sound - and 4 hours is too long to keep Lucas at church.  When I go to MA though he has Lucas at church for 3+ hours (and then can't understand why he wasn't good) so I feel like today was a personal dig at me. I think he is picking him up later though.b

We are hoping it was something weird like that. We live in an old farmhouse, and the guy that lived here and fixed it up died here a couple years ago. So of course, after staying up late drinking, we just assumed that some sort of paranormal force changed the bulbs for us.

Sweet.

biggrinOoh, I need to share a sweet deal I got yesterday.

I went with my mom to Goodwill (she was looking for blazers for work), and I was flipping through the kids jeans.

I ended up finding 2 pairs of Ambercrombie jeans, 2 Aeropostale, 1 gap jeans, and some Arizona jeans, all in Danielle's size and all 3.99 or 2.99. I felt like I won the lottery when I left! I also found a couple of Osh Gosh and Levi's for Jules, though I'm not sure about the size.

I love it when rich people donate to Goodwill and I find it

Hi Toni,
I think LL is probably right about your lights. I think it would be so strange at this point not to have a child with me for that long. I hope you can enjoy it. Good work on scoring the bargains. I never seem to find anything at goodwill.

LL, I would be perturbed by 5's behavior too. Religion is a hard thing and the Catholic thing can be sticky. I agree that Lucas is at church way too long. I know E would be a nightmare if she was at church that long. We have trouble with an hour sometimes.

Even the regular service is 1.5 hours but after the singing part the kids go downstairs for childrens church. Lucas can usually handle that.

I need to eat something, im starving but I wash there was someone here to make me breakfast.

Hmmmm loaded my dishwasher, put eggs on to boil, and gathered laundry

Definitely not enough to warrant a break.

Yes anyone reading this today is going to be tortured by my house cleaning progress

Hmm,, boiling eggs, that's a good idea. I just wrote out thank you notes from E's birthday party a couple of weeks ago. I made her write her name on each one and that takes forever. At least it's finally done and better late than never.

LL, keep cleaning and maybe you will motivate me. giggle.gif

Perhaps another tini for monday?
