I just printed up checklists for the kids for before school and for school nights.

I found an old one on Henry's floor when I was cleaning and thought it was time to update.

Mark informed me that he wants to take a bath or shower every morning before school.

I hope he changes his mind because we'll all have to get up earlier if that happens.

this morning when i was going to leave to go shopping i discovered something horrible.

we recently switched from bringing our trash to the transfer station to having a trash service come to the house.

i always assumed it we were saving $ by me driving it there myself , but found out a month or so ago that that the pick up service is actually half the price that the stupid town charges.

plus, i figured it would be so much less aggravation than hauling three kids out.

anywho...dh put the barrel out by the curb before he left for work this morning.

apparently two bags did not fit into the barrel so he set them next to it.

as i was driving out of the driveway i noticed an animal had shredded those two bags and there was garbage ALL over the street.

i'm sure my neighbors were thrilled to drive over dirty diapers and rotten food this morning.

I'm also half-way working on a menu plan.
I found a site with a fill-in weekly chart and a long list of meal ideas.

I'm thinking someone who doesn't like pork made the list of suggestions.

Although it does have "pork chops" on it, there's no bbq pork (just bbq beef--blech), no ham, no ribs, no pork roast.

So here's my list of possible menu ideas from that website and what we usually eat anyway:

  1. Meatloaf
  2. Pork chops
  3. Pot roast
  4. Sloppy joes
  5. Spaghetti with meat sauce
  6. Soup
  7. BBQ Pork
  8. Fajitas
  9. Fish
  10. Ham
  11. Steak
  12. Pork ribs
  13. Alfredo chicken
  14. Chicken and dumplings
I feel like I'm forgetting something but it will come to me. Also I always have leftover steak that I cut into little pieces and mix with rice for the next day's dinner.

I'm just glad to see 14 options up there.

I hate when wild critters get into our garbage bags. It's such a mess.

I got the charcoal grill started.

I set my timer for 12 minutes to go look to make sure it was still lit.

If it isn't, I'm going to cuss at it until it lights and stays lit.

K?

Oh, how I would love a gas grill.

Glen thinks we'll all blow up if we have a gas grill.

Someone named "Sadlbk Vly CA" keeps calling us.

We don't answer if we don't know who it is on our Caller ID especially if it is long-distance.

So if any of you are calling me from there, you need to leave a message.

Otherwise, no one will ever answer.

K? Thanks.

Robin, you just need to explain to Glen that you really hope you don't find any spiders, especially brown recluses, in the CHARCOAL grill. As everyone knows, charcoal grills attract spiders. I doubt it's true, but you never know. Besides you have to put your hands in the charcoal grill to stack the coals and all. A gas grill you just turn on.

April, I just have to tell you that I saw that little video clip of Em and it made me melt! I just can't get over how much she has grown into a little girl, and she is just as beautiful as ever.

You know because charcoal and lighter fluid is much safer.

I can't have a grill in my complex and it is driving Joe crazy.  He's a meat eater and he wants steak and burgers LOL.
