please let's stop talking about donuts.

I'm extremely happy (but also sad) that it is way too hot to walk to dunkin donuts

I have to drink more water. Even my midwife told me on Tuesday that I was borderline dehydrated and that unless I wanted IV fluids then I need to get myself to drink more.

I don't know why this is such a chore. She even said it didn't have to be water to just get my fluids up and then work on switching to more water.

I feel like crap today and I know that is the reason.

LL - I had a hard time with water (and still do most days), too

the thought of avoiding an IV was motivating

have you tried flavoring the water? crystal light, lemons, etc

good luck, it's tough

Kris - that's exactly how the boys' play room looks when I don't keep on top of it

we switched dom's office and the play room the other day...man, what a chore!

good thing is right now all their toys are still in bins. we'll see how long that lasts.

I'm using mostly prefolds still. Bought a boatload of prefolds and 6 prorap covers from a lady on Craigslist for $40. Never imagined I would have gone that route, but it's been so easy. :) AND I made a friend! Will probably join her playgroup once the boys start school.

I have a couple of pockets that I like and will probably get a few more of. I'm still wanting to try out some AIOs.

A friend of mine also sent me a bunch of growing greens one size diapers, but I still need to strip those and give them a good cleaning.

And another Craigslist purchase, 6 sandy's fitteds and 2 motherease covers.

That's been my start so far. I'm sort of waiting until Katelyn moves up in size before I invest in more, like the AIOs. It's actually been fun, and I never thought I would have ever said that!

Hi, Jolynn!

Hi, everyone!

I just got home from running errands with my mom.

I roasted a turkey the other day because it was the last thing in our garage freezer to eat.

So now I've restocked all of our meat.

I also got a yardstick which was surprisingly hard to find.

Well, a meter stick but whatever.

I don't think anyone is here but I set my timer for 15 minutes computer play-time.

I'll just talk to myself.

I got a great kids' science experiment book when we went to the Huntsville Space Museum, and I'm finally getting the supplies ready to do experiments with the kids.

I bought some random stuff for these experiments at Ike's and Dollar Tree--a tincture of iodine, masking tape, scotch tape, food coloring, baggies.

I still need a few more things but they are grocery items, and I need to go to the grocery store later.

At Charlie's Meat Market (my super-fave butcher), I got:
  1. a rack of baby-back pork ribs
  2. a beef roast
  3. 6 6-ounce bacon-wrapped filet steaks
  4. 2 4-ounce bacon-wrapped filet steaks
  5. 8 thick center-cut bone-in pork chops
I paid a small fortune ($70ish) but that will feed us for a long time. Plus last night I bought a big package of chicken thighs and a bag of pre-cooked diced grilled chicken.

Now I need to write up a menu and stick to it.

Tonight I'm planning to grill pork chops. They are marinating in some Dale's. Yummy.

I bought 8 chops planning to use 4 now and 4 later. But when I opened them, they were even huger than I realized. 2 chops will feed all of us. So that will make 4 separate meals.

My one-minute warning beep just sounded.

I'm going to go shovel out Henry's room when my 15 minutes are up.

Then I'll be back for another 15 minute round.

Hi, Robin!

The science experiment book sounds like fun. I've been stocking up on craft supplies (other than crayons and markers) and trying to do something different with the boys each day. Finally. They've only been home with me for how long??

5 or so hours later i am home (and shockingly did not yell or give any drivers the finger) despite the ridonculous amount of traffic getting to where i was going.

i live 15 minutes from cape cod (well, the beginning section atleast) yet spent an hour in traffic.

i think i may have been the sole car lacking a kayak, bicycles, or towing a boat.

atleast the store was pretty dead...

i only spent $60 and that bought grace a dress, 2 necklaces, a hair wrap, a bunch of bracelets, sneakers, 3 shirts, a skirt, and two pairs of jeans. it also bought a pair of jeans and 2 shirts for a little girl's bday party we have tomorrow.

i love the carter/osh gosh outlet. so worth dealing with tourists.

shockingly enough, everyone behaved so i am rewarding them and letting them watch tv in the middle of the day (usually they have to wait until 5).

its too muggy to play outside anyways:)

I love doing fun craft stuff with my kids!

Be sure to take pictures when you do activities like that. I want to see.

What about building?

I was just thinking Henry needs a large bookshelf/dresser/entertainment center thingy along one wall.

Could you build one for me? With some cabinets and/or big drawers? Big enough to hold board games?

Thanks.
