it is ridiculously hot here today too.  I think we are just going to stay in.  I need to clean Jake's room in such a bad way.  We got rid of his train table and Jake and/or Kate (probably Kate) emptied every bin that he has in one of those toy bin things.  There are toys all over the room and it's been like that for 3 weeks :bag:

the problem around here is kate wants me interacting with her every second of the day so getting anything done is next to impossible .  the only reason I'm free to type this is that she is standing at the kitchen sink running water probably make a gigantic mess!

I got all the beds stripped and she's still "cleaning" dishes!

I removed all breakables so now all she has is plastic and water. I know her. She can still cause trouble.

Good morning April and Kris!

I was hoping for a more normal weekend, but dh stayed up all night working so now he's sleeping. It drives me batty because when he gets up his schedule is no where near ours and he is not hungry or ready to do anything the same time as us.

On the plus side, E is playing nicely this morning and I have a pot of coffee that should be done about now.

My DH has been working crazy long hours too and he's working again today.   One night he got home so late he didn't even eat dinner - the night I made a special trip to the store to get steaks - his is still in the frig right now hmm

I'm starting to tackle Jake's room.  I'm putting all the toys in a pile and putting the bins on the floor and am just gonna toss toys into appropriate bins and return bins to toy stand.  I told Jake this was last time I'm cleaning his room - it will become his responsibility now.   But that will get tricky as Kate is the one that goes in there and makes his room a disaster area.

I tried wearing eye make up 2 days in a row. What an effing mistake. My eyes are so itchy and swollen I can't even stand it. Maybe I need to start looking at different make up. I'm just so confused on whether it's the weather/allergies to that - because they are itchy without making for extended periods of time. This make up thing just made it a million times worse.

Morning!

Mark's working today, so what to do? Perhaps we'll go visit my parents. Mark's parents are here for 2 months, so we haven't seen my folks much lately. What I really need to do is clean, clean, clean but ugh!

Ooh, I'm so glad my mom and I went out last weekend to get Henry some new clothes for school.

This weekend and especially next weekend will be crazy for that since school starts August 9th.

Mark has so many clothes that his dresser drawers barely close. I need to clean them out soon.

are you able to actually focus and shop with all 3 kids in tow?

I spend most of my time refereeing fights and making sure Kate doesn't disappear.   It's a huge job to take all 3 of mine when me and DH both go.

I'm really hoping Glen takes the kids to his parents' house (or somewhere) for several hours so I can work on the house.

The mess is starting to give me the heebie-jeebies.

That means it's BAD.

I am in denial that school starts in like 2 weeks. DENIAL.  I don't want a Freshman and I don't want my sweet baby boy to go to Kindergarten and I don't want all the crazy paperwork, etc. that will start rolling home with them.

My kids each have a free donut coupon for Dunkin' Donuts.

They got them for participating in the library summer reading program.

We've never been to Dunkin' Donuts.

We always go to two other mom-n-pop donut shops that are closer to our house.
