ummm, why did he feel the need to post a picture of himself as well?

perhaps he intended to post that one in casual encounters instead;)

Hi!

We didn't get a swimming invite today so the kids played in our inflatable pool.

Every 5 minutes, one of the kids came to the back door crying because:

-"He sprayed water up my nose!"

-"He hit me!"

-"It was an accident!"

-"I hurt my leg/knee/toe/nose/finger/whatever."

i was attempting to get my tini 5 done while baby napped and the big kids played (err, i mean fought) with eachother.

instead i decided that putting together goody bags for connor's party would be more fun.

then i realized that in order to unearth all of the goody bag favors i have been stashing i would need to dig through my closet.

so, i decided i might as well empty my entire closet and reorganize it.

now here i sit while i have a mountain of clothes and shoes to sort through/put away.

on a happier note i did come across a pair of silver glittery sandals i bought on clearance at the end of last summer and forgot about!

i'm on the phone with the hospital scheduling a kidney ultrasound for caroline.

the dr yesterday was super cool and she always spends a good amount of time talking to us.

i love our peds.

It sounds like it was a good appointment.  Is this just to make sure?  What did she say?

she said at this point she probably should have an ultrasound & follow up with a pediatric urologist. she said it's probably not anything medical but it's best to be sure.

so - her u/s is on aug 5th and the follow up with the ped urologist is aug 19th.

they also did urine tests yesterday (culture & dip?)

It sounds like she really is a great pedi.  Let us know how it goes.  It does sound like there isn't any big cause for alarm, which is good.  I am glad you will get some solid answers so you know better what to do.  I think it would be hard to balance which direction to take without knowing for sure and then having mommy guilt if you do the wrong one.  You are a smart mom.

heart.gif thanks

Boo to fighting siblings. I am being a good mom and turned on the tv. I am making extremely slow progress in cleaning things up. I am having a motivation issue because I feel like the minute it's cleaned a little buzzer goes off that only the other members of my family can hear. When they hear that buzzer they scramble to undo as much as possible in a short period of time. Oh, and the pets most certainly hear that buzzer too.

i'm tired.

i just shampooed a flight of stairs, steam mopped the entry way floor (which is much too big & useless) and did multiple loads of laundry.

i still have to:

shower, go to the grocery store and stock up for all the teenage boys that will be eating at my house this weekend.... (probably 5 or 6 total) and go to the post office.

With that many boys be sure to pick up a jumbo sized container of clorox wipes and some air sanitizer. giggle.gif  You are a brave woman hosting for a pack of endless pit teenagers!  But on the plus side, it sounds like you have been quite successful in getting things done today. :sonya:

to be totally honest, jake has the sweetest, most respectful friends.

whenever the kids sleep over i cook a big breakfast the next morning and the boys always say thank you, clear their dishes, talk to the little kids ...

they really are great kids.

i love finally having the space for jake to have friends over.

i have nap envy.

neither connor nor grace nap.

i think connor stopped around 2.5 and grace was more like 18 months.

I'd be tired too.

Shampooing and steam mopping do not sound like much fun at all.

I don't have nappers either.

Every once in a while, Mark will fall asleep watching TV or in the car but that is rare.

I'm sad about some coupons I ordered from dede.

I ordered them 2 weekends ago, the website said they shipped on the 12th.

Just coupons, so regular envelope in the regular mail.

They should have arrived 2 or 3 mail days after shipping.

I'm afraid some other house around here got my coupons.

I won't need them anymore if they don't come before Wednesday.
