Our VBS is this week at night so I don't get to the computer until about 9pm.

Tonight was our last night of rotations--I was in charge of crafts--so tomorrow night is just a short program in the sanctuary and then dinner.

I'm making a slideshow of all the VBS pictures from the week, set to the VBS music.

I hope it works okay.

They did something like that at E's VBS and it was fun to see what the kids were doing.  She loved going there.

I'm eating crazy bread from Little Ceasar's.

It's yummy.

I roasted a turkey--yes a whole 11-pound turkey--for an early dinner today. I also made mashed potatoes, green beans, and cornbread.

My kids ate . . . mashed potatoes.

speaking of f/b...

i recently noticed that a couple of the moms from my kids preschool that i am f/b friends with are f/b friends with the lead teacher of the preschool.

there is no way i would be comfortable with that. every time i complained about my kids or talked about them driving me to drink i wouldn't be able to look the lady in the face at drop off the next morning.

now i am petrified she will send me a friend request and i will feel like an azz not accepting her...

Don't feel bad about not accepting her. It's YOUR f/b.

You can always accept her and only let her access basic info. Or just not access your status updates or whatever. :)

Maybe they know her better or at least know her secrets.  I am friends with the director and teachers at E's preschool, but given what I know about them, I am not worried.  I also know that teachers are not saints.  I think it kind of just depends.

Hi Corey! What kind of wine? Unfortunately we only have Bush beer here. GAG!

something someone brought me in the hospital called 'mommy's time out'

it is a pinot grigio. i am more of a chardonney drinker, but after 9+ months of no drinking anything seems good to me:)

Dh is not working for once and is home. I am in a completely different part of the house but don't feel like going to the family room because it will mean I will start cleaning. It's a pig sty in there and I can't stand to be in there unless I clean it. Apparently i am the only one with this problem.

I will try this again.

LL so glad Joe will be there with you. I hope it ends up being better than you thought. As for Dell, I am still using the laptop I got from them on their bargain site the year E was born.

Hi Robin!

I just checked and realized I approved the graduation invitations for ds and they are on the way with the wrong number on the address. CRAP! So, do I order again or just put a slip of paper in there and act like it was the printers fault?

It will be wonderful no matter what heart.gif We seriously just had the most amazing 5.5 days and I cannot wait for our life together to really start!!

Good to know about the laptop!!

Definitely blame the printer LOL

One of my craft helpers (who is also a mom of one of the babies that was in my Mothers' Day Out class this past Spring) brought her camera to take pictures for me for my slideshow.

I took a gazillion pictures myself plus I got pics from a couple other people that didn't have an assigned VBS job.

L, the craft helper, gave me a cd of her pictures. I just dl them and looked through them.

Um, she took at least 40 pictures of the black paper on the wall that the kids drew on with chalk. Just the paper, no kids.

So I deleted all of those.

Something was wrong with her camera and half the pics were cloudy. I deleted all of those.

She took MANY pictures of the craft supplies, crafts she made as samples, crafts other adults made as samples, and various other pictures with no children in them.

She is special needs but last year when she helped me in crafts, she actually had a little sense.

I'll have to warn the VBS director not to let L be the official photographer next year.

I'm not premium although I've put in a request.

For the longest time, there were days between posts in there.

I am currently in my trashed living room (no choice since its the only room in my house besides the kids bedroom) I have a full weekend of cleaning planned so I am trying not to let it bother me LOL

Corey, BTW I was not meaning that I thought you should be friends with the preschool peeps. Just that some freaks like me are fine with it.

Did I tell y'all that I am officially out of a job at Mothers' Day Out in the fall?

No one is enrolling their kids; I guess everyone is as broke as we are.

I need to go ahead and apply to be a sub at the kids' school.

The kids and I went swimming yesterday and today at my friend Margaret's house.

She's the one who is a grandma and who calls to invite us all the time.

She swims with us and plays with the kids.

I heart.gif her.
