Toy Story 3 chat...SPOILERS!

Have you seen it?

What did you think?

What did your kid(s) think?

Mason and I saw it yesterday.  I was a little nervous because I thought it was pretty dark and intense, but he really enjoyed it.  He gets totally stone-faced when he watches a movie, so I couldn't tell what he thought!  But he loved it.

I loved how they aged the dog.  That was so cute.  I was sad about Bo Peep though, and was really hoping that they would meet again at daycare.

That Big Baby character really freaked me out, LOL.  I loved the Mr. Tortilla Head, and the Spanish Buzz was great!  But Mason was so confused because he can't read subtitles. ;)

we had a few friends to the theater and had a little viewing party.

there were 5 kids there, and the only kid who didn't cry and get totally freaked out, was cole.  he loved it, the other boys his age got scared by various things...

also, i totally bawled.  like steal magnolias kinda cry...as did my friend that was there with me.  the other moms got misty, but my friend and I were a disaster.

all of that said, i loved it.  cole did too, we already have plans to go see it again with another of cole's friends next week. woot woot.

I had to choke back the tears during the last scene fo sho.  It takes a lot to make me cry at movies, but they almost had me!

Go RPC!

We were going to have our babysitter watch Peepers so John and I could go to the movies with Mason, but she wasn't available this weekend, so he stayed home.  He still wants to see it, so he might take Mason next weekend.  The kid seriously cannot wait for it to come out on DVD, so I know he wouldn't mind seeing it in the theater again.  (But jeez - for Mason and I to see the matinee, with popcorn and drinks, was $32!  And I had a coupon, so my ticket was the kids' price!)

I've heard so much about ugly crying. I think I may need to know why all the crying before I go...

Loved it!

I loved Spanish Buzz and old Buster. And I cried through the last 20 minutes of it, but good tears not bad tears.

And you know what I really loved about it, that it wasn't a let down.  I was really looking forward to it and it was just as good as I hoped it was going to be.  I just wish that I hadn't had to go to the bathroom three times with Bel. I'm looking forward to it coming out on DVD so I can see the bits I missed.

Steal Magnolias cry?!?! Really??? I sob at everything lately (I cried watching an episode of Cake Boss) This is so not good, when I cry Lucas starts to cry.

I'm still excited to see it though, Lucas doesn't do good in crowds so we are waiting to go until it's been out a few weeks. I'll definitely have to warn whoever goes with us that there will be ugly crying.

Dorian, what parts were the kids scared of?

Yeah, lots of crying over here.

DH confessed to crying too. hee hee

I laughed so hard when the army men left because when the garbage bags come out, they're the first to go.

SO TRUE in my house.

We totally loved it! It was the first movie that Dominic sat throught the WHOLE thing for, we have only taken him to 2 others but both times he kept getting up, fidgeting in his seat, etc. I thought it was a really funny, cute movie for us to see together.

Yay Dom!!!

Mason has been to the movies several times, but this was the first time he didn't fidget at all too!  He only made it through an hour of Wall-E, wanted to leave during Up and Princess and the Frog...but sat fairly motionless through TS3!  It could have been an hour and a half of the characters farting on each other and he would have loved it.

We loved it, and ya, I did get pretty misty at the end. I mean, how could you not? Especially when he was talking to Woody. I think I cried thinking about how my little ones will do that one day <<sniff sniff>>

My kids were pretty freaked out during the dump scene, especially the incinerator. I was misting up when the toys all stopped fighting and held hands; that was pretty intense!

Funny story: My nephew Harry (who is an '05er) was punished a few weeks back by getting his new water guns thrown out (after many MANY warnings), and my bil told him they were in the trash and going to go to the dump.

During the incinerator scene, he started bawling, and said "mom, where did my squirter guns go?" It was funny, but a little sad. I guess he'll learn to take that threat seriously!

Oh, and I had to interpret during the spanish scenes, though I didn't break it down exactly (because I thought she wouldn't get some of it). My kids loved the movie, and I think it was my favorite one.

total t/j, but if you have a walmart nearby, they sell specially marked boxes of tampax pearl with a free movie code inside (good for all new releases and no coupon showings up to $12). the boxes are $6.67 at my store and there are $2/1 tampax pearl q's on most clipping sites right now. $4.67/movie is a pretty great deal:)

Loved it and we saw it in 2d.  I didn't cry.  Some possible crying parts were when the toys thought they were going to die and held hands and of course the end.

It was so much fun seeing it as a family.  Stephen actually wanted to see it with her.  He is almost 16 and he loved Toy Story and had all the toys.  We still have his original woody which is how Raven started liking it a couple of years ago.  We played her the video of Toy Story and she was hooked.

My oldest (10) was totally excited to see it because I always tell him how he probably watched toy story 300 times when he was 2 years old. Both of my boys loved it.

My boys didn't even want to see shrek 3 because they thought it was too babyish so it's funny that they wanted to see TS3.

Hi! The boys and I just got back from OK where we were visiting my grandma.

My aunt lives there too, and she took me and the kids to see TS3 in 3D. We all loved it!

Both my kids said their favorite part of the movie was Spanish Buzz, and I didn't even read the subtitles to Mark.

I didn't notice if anyone answered about the scary parts but I guess they would be: when the bear showed how mean he really was and put all the toys in "jail", that creepy big baby, the chopper at the dump, and definitely the incinerator at the dump.

I NEVER cry at movies, and my eyes got a little misty at the end. It was just so sweet.

I didn't notice if my aunt cried but her grown son is named Andy so I bet she did.
